202 days till graduation. 202 days till my life begins.
'So we'll piss of the neighbors. In the place that feels the tears. The place to lose our fears. Yeah, reckless behavior. A place that is so pure, so dirty and raw.'
Note to self- NEVER fall asleep with the phone next to your ear. The alarm is not your friend and will mercilessly blare music into your ear at an odd time of 8am. Even on a Sunday.
Speaking of Sundays, remember what happened last Sunday Louisa? My lovely self conscious reminds me. I haven't told anyone about it and neither do I plan to. I know what happened was never supposed to happen and will never happen again. I guess Michael just didn't know how else to console me in that weak moment of mine. Nothing to worry about.
After last Sunday's events, I've decided that running isn't for me. Which is why I have no idea why my alarm is ringing on a Sunday at 8 bloody a m.
While I'm contemplating this the light in my room then switches on. Now everybody knows that I absolutely hate when people do that. My light is off for a reason and I'll switch it on only when I'm ready to. I now squint and I'm about to yell at the culprit but I'm interrupted by four monkeys who suddenly start jumping on my bed."HAPPYYY BIRTHDAAAY LOOUUUIISAAA" I then hear Anne, Natalie, Mary and Samantha scream, who happen to be the four monkeys jumping on my bed.
"Guys, I really appreciate it but I really love my bed and would appreciate it if you guys could so kindly not break it." I say.
I'm usually more excited for my birthday. Anybody's birthday really. I've just got a lot on my mind lately I guess? So today I turn 18. I'm a legal adult now. In the UK at least. Which means I can do whatever the hell I want to do. This should be fun.
Whilst I'm thinking about all the possibilities Anne interrupts my thoughts and says "Let's go shopping!!"
In the next 15 minutes, they manage to drag me out of bed and get dressed.
I then see Vincent and Andrew in the kitchen with my mum and brother."Happy Birthday Louisa." My mum comes over and hugs me. "Now I know you've turned eighteen but I expect you to behave like a responsible adult. Don't go and do anything stupid alright?" she add.
"Mum. Of course I'll be responsible. It's me." I say and she rolls her eyes I hear Vincent say 'Pleease.' and a few snorts from the others. Such lovely friends.
And with that we set off.
We hit the Churchill Square Shopping Centre which was quite empty for a Sunday. They wanted to get me something for my birthday, preferably new clothes because apparently I have the style sense of a rabbit. And when I asked what is wrong with that, all of them gave me a look, which made me shut up.
Our first stop was Primark. They didn't like anything they saw so we headed to H&M. Again, no luck. Natalie then pulled us into Zara. They happened to like a couple of things there like a pair of tight black leather pants which I refuse to be seen in. Ever. They did manage to convince me to get a black leather jacket though.
We then head into Marks and Spencer. While all of them are scouring the shop I notice I have two unread text messages.Travis: Happy Birthday love. See you tonight. x
Michael: Happy Birthday Lou! Hope you have a good one. I'm sorry about what happened last week. Let's just pretend it didn't happen? I miss my café colleague. :/
I'm excited to meet Travis. Maybe we could go out for dinner.
I haven't been avoiding Michael. I just switched my timings the past week so that I work on days he doesn't have a shift.
Ok so maybe I am avoiding him. I mean, I did pour my heart out to him and then gave in to a kiss. I don't know what I was thinking. I did kind of miss him though. The café does get quite lonely sometimes.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts when my friends wave a cute pair of black ballet shoes in front of my face. They get it for me.
We then head to Top Shop where they then buy me a light blue skinny jeans and a floral shirt, which I have to admit I very cute.
