If I was alive, I would be enjoying myself and doing everything else a normal twelve year old does. But I can't. I'm not alive, I'm not dead. I am a vampire. I go to a regular school with a normal identity but out of school, at home, I am different, at school I hide my fangs, at home I don't. At school I never use mind control, at home I do. It's very hard to live a double life like I do. So many things to remember that you can and can't do, no way of knowing how long you are going to stay hidden, not knowing who it looking for you, who isn't, who to trust, who not to. There are so many rules to remember that sometimes I forget and let something slip. Like today in school.

We were in the worst lesson in the world, geography and we were learning about the water cycle, it's so boring as I know all of this already, if I were to take my GCSEs right now I would pass every subject with an A+. I was just drawing my favourite thing it the world, ponies, when the teacher (Mr. Smith) told me to pay attention. As I already knew this I didn't need to and that comment made me mad, so I answered cheekily,
" I don't need to, I know all of this already, this subject is a waste of time. I knew all this when I was alive at school, one hundred years ago!" Oh no, I let everyone know that I am not alive, what am I going to do?
"What do you mean by not alive?" Mr. Smith asked in a tone that says 'busted'.
"Sorry, just a slip of the tongue, I meant to say that, as you know my parents used to home school me, they thought that geography was very important and they thought me about the water cycle when I was seven, this is why to me this lesson is now pointless." I replied as innocently as humanly possible, of course I am not a human and could have sounded even more innocent but that would have been a massive clue that I was lying.
"Why should I believe you?" Mr. Smith said in a an unusual voice.
"Because since when can a human come back to life?" I asked, getting infuriated.
"OK, I believe you but please can you say after class so I can talk to you?" This can't be good.
"Sure," I answered, tying to sound calm even though I feel like killing him with my mind control.

Class quickly ends and I walk up to the front, waiting to be shouted at but I am completely wrong. He smiles like he is delusional, making me feel very uneasy but because this is the death glare I get at home, slightly comforting.
"I know your secret," he whispers once everyone has left.
"Wh-what do you mean?" I ask, panicking slightly. Suddenly something happened and Mr. Smith...well...he didn't look like my teacher anymore, he looked like a vampire. He looks young for a vampire, probably about the same age as me, one hundred and eighteen. His black hair shone so much it was like it was brand new. He was just the most amazing vampire in the world. It was only for a second before everything went back to normal, I'm not sure if it was just my imagination but it seemed real to me.
"We are now even, I know your secret and you know mine, does that seem fair?" He asks, now back to normal.
"Of course," I reply, not knowing if that was the answer he wanted. I didn't wait around to find out, I just ran out of the classroom like I was a runner in the Olympics, not looking back, not know what was coming next...
