In Some Situations it's Better to Expect the Worst.

[Sean's POV]

As I stepped out of my room the overbearing feeling of anger, sadness and just well- shit took over. As soon as I got the bad news that I'm gonna have to miss every single game for the month I stormed straight to my room. That was 4 games I was going to miss, not even including yesterday night's final. It was hard holding in the tears.

But I decided to take the positive approach.

I don't know how yesterday's game went and I don't solely make up my team alone; they're amazing.

We probably won.

I chuckled to myself; of course we did.

As I walked out of my dorm and across the field towards the main school I looked at my watch; 7am - training was going to start soon. Principal Kelly said I couldn't participate in any games but he never said I couldn't train.

I pushed the gym doors opens, my smile growing wider and wider as the thought of my team holiding the trophy we'd all literally spilled blood for.

"Ah; nice of you to join us Carter" My coach grinned bitterly.

My smile as well as my chest dropped as I watched my team sitting on the gym floor all of them looking tired and distraught; AJ one our shooting guards looked the worse; his eyes and all around were red as if he couldn't stop crying last night.

"Where were you man?" Kingsly shouted, a shooting guard asked 

"I-I was banned from playing"

"Yeah we all know that" AJ hissed "You could have at least been here; I thought you were the captain"

I bowed my head down slightly in shame

"Maybe" Kingsly started "Maybe he thinks he'sbetter than all of us; and since he weren't playing there was no point in him coming to support his own damn team because he thinks we're gonna lose anyway!"

The other team mates began glaring at me nodding their heads in agreement 

"Come on guys; you know I don't think that at all! I-I was just upset that's all! I-"

"Wait guys" Jason stood up "Is it really Carter we should be blaming? Or the asshole that put us in this position? Micah Johanson"
