|| Chapter 9: Makeup In A Hurry ||

We've all been there. Whether it was for school, work or a last-minute event, we've all had at least one 'quick and dirty' makeup experience. All mine were caused by procrastination, so I've got a few tips to help all of you out.

==Stick To The Essentials==

Trust me when I say this; You don't need makeup. Personally, I put it on because it's fun and can really enhance features on my face, but I don't need it, and neither do you. You are beautiful, you all are. So if you're in a hurry and want to wear some anyway, don't go all out. Depending on your tastes, just concentrating on one part of your face can really make you look extremely well put together.

I usually stick to coating my lashes in mascara very carefully, adding a dab of blush and lightly filling in my brows. It's not a full face look, but definitely gets the job done :) I've learned how to apply my mascara to make it thicker near my waterline to give the same effect as eyeliner would have when my eyes are open. It also lets my sensitive skin breathe, which reduces irritation and breakouts. I can't put foundation on because no matter how I do it or what I use, it never looks good on me.

==Radiant Skin==

However, if you do enjoy the way foundation looks but you don't have time, concealer is your best friend! A dab under your eyes and on your spots will brighten up your complexion in less time. Bb cream is also a faster option, and will leave your skin looking radiant.

==Big Bright Eyes==

Skip eyeliner and focus on lashes. The right mascara can make your eyes look effortlessly flawless. Maybelline's mascaras are amazing and affordable. Benefit and Too-Faced mascaras are pricier, but are worth it! Add a touch of shimmery or light eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyes, and you'll look wide awake within 3-5 minutes.

==Avoid Contouring==

When you're running late, contouring might take a while. A tad of blush on the apple of your cheeks should do the trick for the time being.

==Easy Breezy Brows== (I'm pretty proud of that tbh)

Instead of taking the time to fill in your brows, just lightly comb through them with a clear or tinted brow gel to tame them.

==Organized Space==

Already knowing where all your makeup is and having clean brushes or tools will save time and will reduce your stress. Keep your work space clean :)

==Avoiding Mistakes==

Sometimes, nothing is going right. Your lashes aren't cooperating and smudging everywhere, or your foundation isn't blending for some reason. It happens to me constantly, and there are hacks you can easily find on the internet. If my lashes are smudging that day, I like to place a small sheet of toilet paper behind them (kind of like a barrier over my skin) so that they smudge onto there, instead of my lid. Some use credit cards, but I prefer the toilet paper. It saves time and reduces my frustration :)

==Be Confident==

If your makeup isn't going on right and you don't have time to play around and fix it, just keep it light and simple, don't stress. You look beautiful either way! Do yourself a favour and don't try applying it in the car, because that's dangerous and could potentially just end up worse. Put a smile on and work with what your momma gave you !

A little mascara and lip balm goes a long way, so wear your natural beauty <3
