Kingsley's POV

We were on our way to meet up with Ashton. He has info about the rouges and I had a feeling that Sarge was involved. We had already killed his daughter. We already sent our people to his many locations to steal his documents but still hadn't found anything information that we needed. Like why did he want to steal my mates power and how exactly was he going to do that?

Kale and I hated that we just couldn't kill Ashton yet. We are about to last night, we had found him. kale and a few alphas from different packs. But then one of the alphas decided to remind me that if I killed him, the werewolf council would come after me. They would try to banish my alpha title for killing one of our own. Yes there was consequences when one alpha messes with another alphas mate but none of them were good enough. I wanted Ashton dead. Another reason why we couldn't kill him yet was
we both owned this part of town so it was mandatory that we stay associates. No matter the circumstances. He had a pack, friends, and business associates. If he died, people would want to know what happened. Even if they weren't important people, someone would want to know what happened. I couldn't let his death fall on me when I knew the council had it out for me already. My ex worked in the council. She would throw me in jail the first chance she got if she discovered I commuted an unjustified death. That means even if I we wanted to slit his throat, it had to wait. We had to carefully plan it out and make sure it did not come back on us.

"Kingsley."

I turned sideways to see my brother and our mate standing  outside of the car giving me a look of concern. I didn't even realize we stopped the car.

"We're here." Kale informed me and I glanced forward to see Ashton and three of his commanders standing a few feet behind him. We agreed to meet right outside of his territory, out of the woods which was Kale's idea. I knew exactly why he suggested it and I smirked while stepping out of the car.

I watched as my brother stalked over to Ashton which Ashton had no clue as to what Kale was doing.
If your not on an alphas territory then that means no rules are set. Meaning he was able to punch Ashton and no one would be at fault. We already told Ariel to stay behind us until we told her

My smirk grew even further when I saw blood dripping from Ashton's mouth. He didn't even fight back, he knew this was coming for Kissing an Alphas mate. Ashton angrily held his ground though and took the punch confidently even though we all knew it hurt. Ariel stood straight faced and watched on, I knew she didn't want to see this, but she told us she could handle it. If I saw that she couldn't we would immediately leave.

"ALPHA!" Ashton's commanders shouted trying to come to his defense but he waved them off telling them he was fine.

"If You EVER  touch her or go near her, or even think about her you will regret it. You are lucky we are not going to kill you." Kale sneered staring Ashton In the eyes.

"That's still up for debate." I growled approaching them. I didn't bother putting my hands on him because I knew once I stopped he wouldn't be breathing. Kale is a more lenient person, but when you cross me once, you die. My anger controlled my every decision when it concerned another man touching my mate or even being friends with her. The fact that my mate cared so much for one of our fighters Theodore even made my blood boil. I know he saved her life but walking in on him with his arms around her sent me over the edge. I knew she was worried for him and that's why she blocked us out of her head.

I almost snapped his neck that day for touching her again. It was Ariel who stopped me from ending his life in that Moment.
