PEETA'S POV

Rrrrrrrrriiiiipppp! I let out a small squeal as another piece of thick carpet whips off the skin of my leg. "Apologies Peeta! You're too hairy! No wonder considering you're a boy!" says a woman with pale blue skin, shocking pink frizzy hair, and neon yellow lips named Zeria. After numerous painful waxing off leg and arm  fabric, a man with aqua blue hair shaped in a way that looks like cake icing and neon pink and green eyelashes peers over me and says in a typical Capitol accent,

"Hello there! My name is Ulius. Now please stay as still as possible. I'm going to pluck your eyebrows!" He picks up a small metal claw-like tool and which grabs onto a single eyebrow hair and whips it out. One hour later, a young woman with flowing midnight blue hair, with bright pink and orange eyeshadow and eyelashes like golden leaves walks up to me and tells me, "Hello, my name is Sethina. Myself, Zeria and Ulius are going to be your beauty slash prep team. Now if you follow me I will take you to your main stylist, Portia," Flights of stairs later, we stop at a door. Sethina opens it to reveal a woman with caramel skin, neon yellow hair and electric pink lipstick. Hesitantly, I walk in and Sethina closes the door to exit. "Take a seat Peeta," she says in a fancy Capitol accent. "As you already know, my name is Portia and I am going to be your main stylist for your time at the Capitol," I smile, nod my head and say a simple, "Hello Portia," She holds out her palm and I put my hand in hers. Gently, she lifts me up and says uneasily, "Sorry but I have to do this! Please may you take off your robe so I can inspect what I am working with?" This shocks me. I never knew tributes had to do that. Nervously and hesitating a lot, I slip off my robe to the ground. I blush a bright red and feel like running away, but I just stay still. Carefully, she circles round me inspecting my body parts and my figure, thinking about what to do with me. Few minutes later, she finally says, "Thank you Peeta you may put your robe back on," Relived, I pick up my robe and cover up my body with it. "Come, come!" Portia says and directs me to a seat. It feels so good to eventually sit down somewhere comfortable after standing up for hours stark naked with someone looking at your bare body. My stylist presses a small green button and a table slides out of the wall complete with what the Capitol consider, "lunch" but District 12 consider a hearty feast that would last a month for one person. A giant dish containing what smells like fresh chicken in a creamy orange sauce, a basket of fine white bread, a large plate of salad with a sweet sauce drizzled on top, and a huge pot filled with steaming white rice. I flutter my eyelids in awe. How magical, I think. These people can get a filling feast in just a press of a button. No effort, no work, no pain. Just a simple push. Portia starts to fill up her plate and mine. I scoop up a small portion of chicken, sauce and rice on a spoon and put it all in my mouth. The exotic flavours create a firework display on my tongue, making me desire for more heavenly tastes. After taking a few spoonfuls of chicken and rice, Portia turns to me and says, "So, tonight is the tribute parade! Exciting isn't it?" I give a quick nod and continue to gorge on the fine food, making most of the Capitol's luxury untill eventually I will reach my life's end. "Now, Cinna and I, oh Cinna is your fellow tribute, Primrose's main stylist by the way!" she informs me and continues to speak. "Have been thinking hard about your costumes. Since we want to make you look unforgettable!" I think about 12's outfits in the previous years. Due to the fact our District's trade is coal mining, we normally get dresses in giant headlamps, black skimpy outfits and one year the tributes were stark naked and dusted in black and gold glitter to represent coal. Obviously, they didn't get much sponsors.

"So, coal mining. Are we going to be wearing miners uniforms or something like the previous years?" I ask, not expecting a brilliant costume idea.

"Oh no no no! None of that garbage! Cinna and I have come up with something so fabulous you're going to be showered with sponsors! But, I think I'm going to keep it a surprise, just for you!" she trills excitedly. This remark from my stylist makes me wonder if it actually is something so amazing, it'll even make the District one tributes envious. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
