PRIM'S POV

Ten? Ten! My eyes widened and my face froze in surprise. "Oh well done Primrose! You have a really good chance! You two really are the best tributes I've had in ages!" cried a very excited Effie. "Good job sweetheart! Good job!" said Haymitch beaming the brightest I've ever seen him. "Oh sweetheart! You should be proud of yourself darling! Absolutely fantastic!" cheered my prep team and Portia. Unexpectedly, Peeta gently wrapped his arms around me and engulfed me in his warmth ; he smiled and said in a soft tone, "You are gonna go home, you're gonna be safe and sound and I'll make sure of that," A tranquill feeling flows through me and puts me at ease. He's the big brother I never had and I don't want my brother dead. I don't want my Katniss dead. I want them to be together because they make each other happy. I'd die to save them, and that is exactly what I'm going to do. We exchanged a smile.

"Right! Oooh! Hee hee hee! Now you and Primrose need to go to Cinna, Portia and your prep teams because the interviews are going to start in...mmmm..." Effie squinted at her dazzling diamante wrist watch (which frankly hurt my eyes a little because it was so dazzling) and said with a clap of her hands, "Two hours! Off you go shoo shoo! Hee hee!" she squeaked in delight. Cinna placed a gentle hand on my right shoulder and guided me to my room, and then to a velvet cream seat infront of the same mirror, decorated with an ivory frame I had stared into when getting ready for the tribute parade.

"You are going to love it!" beamed Cinna at my reflection in the mirror.

"More flames and fire?" I questioned with a slight giggle.

"Mmm...Something like that," he replied with a mischevious yet excited look on his face. I let out a small chuckle and they got to work. A cold liquid slid across my nails multiple times, and then the cooling feel of Velvius blowing gently on my nails to ensure they are dry. The slight tickling sensation of strands of my hair lightly sweeping against the back of my neck and ears, informed me that Opinia was busy brushing, braiding and twisting my hair into something amazing with her magical fingers. The smooth sweep of a lipstick bullet and gentle dabbing on my face and eyelids, told me Cinna and Venisia were working on my make-up, ensuring my face was perfect. Several minutes later, silence fell and I heard my prep team shuffling back to examine their finished work which was, me.

"Ok Primrose, if you stand up - but do not open your eyes sweetheart! We'll get you into your dress and shoes." said Opinia softly. Slowly, I rose from my seat and felt the hands of my prep team carefully strip me of my top and skirt and slip on the dress, the gentle strokes of the silk sweeping on my skin. I felt my feet slide into a pair of shoes with a slight heel at the back. Then, there was some slight tugging and hands smoothing out a few creases in my dress and I heard Venisia (in a voice struggling to contain her excitement) say, "Ok darling! Hee hee! Open your eyes," My eyelids flickered open to reveal a girl staring back at me in the ivory framed mirror, and she has to be- I thought to myself- the most beautiful and angelic person in the world. But...if this is a mirror...then that's me, that is what I look like...but it can't be me...it just can't. Utterly shocked, I stutter, "But...that's...that's, not me," My prep team giggled and smiled and Cinna said placing both of his warming hands on my shoulders,

"That is you. That is you." I slowly shook my head in disbelief and said,

"It can't be me. Beacause I'm not as beautiful as that girl," My prep team sighed; let out an "aww" each and said, "Oh nonsense! You are so beautiful, so very beautiful!" Cinna smiled, his eyes twinkling and whispered, "Well it is you whether you believe it or not. That beautiful girl, that delicate flower, that delicate Primrose is you," A gentle smile painted itself on my face and beamed at my prep team. My golden locks were intrecately braided into the shape of a beautiful flower on the back of my head with a glimmering golden ribbon woven through it and sparkles peeking out everytime I move. My dress exposed my shoulders ; flowed down to my knees and created the effect of a real flame. The top was a light yellow colour and gradually faded into an intense fiery colour as it reached the tip of my dress. My nails were painted entriely in sparkling, flame-inspired colours and looked as though the painted flames were real and active. "Primrose, try sweeping your nails around in the air sweetie," called Velvius. Curious to see what would happen, I raised my hands and lightly swept them in the air. Instantly, dazzling, firey sparks flew out from my nails and lingered in the air for a few seconds before fading away. Quietly and in complete unison, my prep team and I sighed in amazement. A great rush of gratitude flowed through me and relaxed my limbs. "Thank you," I beamed gratefully to my prep team, who squeezed me in their warmth in reply. "Come on now, it's time to go now," said Cinna and led me out of the door and into the lift where Peeta, Effie and Haymitch were waiting, looking the best I've ever seen them.
