You see that girl right there standing with a gun pointed at her face. Yeah that's me, the names Gabrielle by the way and I'm 13. Well I guess I should probably start from the beginning. It all started with me and the rest of the little "town" called Woodburry,we got moved to this prison. We were told it was much safer here and there was no chance for walkers to get in.Oh sorry, I forgot the mention that the whole world has gone to hell in this so called apocalypse, with these flesh eating monsters we call walkers every where. So any way long story short, the leader of Woodburry, also known as the Governor, went crazy and killed pretty much all of our "army".

So now we are here, at the prison. We all get a cell block that we have to share with at least one other person. Since every one in my family is dead I had to share with this little girl who was about 8 named Maddie. Now I'm not really the sharing type so I guess it's good she never spends time in our cell, only to sleep. Now me on the other hand never really come out of my cell, more then half the people here don't even know who I am.

I Was laying down thinking of all of this when two girls came in,"Alright I'm Carol and this is Beth. We where assigned to do a quick look over of every ones cell to make sure no one has any thing they shouldn't." I instantly thought of my knife and sling shot I kept in my bag. when we first got here we were told to turn all weapons in and we would get them back when we were authorized to, but I didn't turn mine in. I walked back into my cell and started looking for a place to hide them. I went to my pillow and made a small cut on the side and stuffed my sling shot in. Next I walked over the the far side of the small pad on my bed that's supposed to be a mattress. I made a small incision in that and stuck my knife in it. I hide them in different spots so if they find one I still have the other.

The two girls made there way to my cell,"Hello. Whats your name?" asked Carol. She seemed sweet.

"Gabrielle" I answered.

"I like that name. Well Gabrielle we are just going to do a quick look over," She said. She then started looking under the beds and every where u could hid something. When she picked up the pillow to look under it my heart started to pound, but she luckily didn't notice anything in it. All she found was a picture of me and my family. "Is this them, your family?" I nodded at her question. "It's beautiful. Where are they now?"

"Dead." I said there wasn't any other way to put it they were dead.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I lost my family to..." Carol replied. I just nodded at her statement.

"Here you are going to need this." I turned around to see Beth handing me a piece of paper that said:

Gabrielle Jonson

resident #37 from Woodburry

Not trained nor authorized for weapons

"If some one  ever stops you or you get in trouble or anything make sure to show them this, to prove that you belong here, okay? So , just carry it around all the time." She continued.

"Alright," I said and I turned around to see Carol looking in the tiny air vent in the corner of the room. "Do you really need to look there?"

"You would be surprised where people manage to hide thing," she said back

"Ha, yeah..." I said awkwardly.

"Well it looks all good in here, bye!" Carol said.

"Bye.." I sat down on my bed letting out a big breath. That was really close.

After about five minutes of laying on my bed and just thinking about this shitty world, I got pretty bored... So I decided to go on a little adventure. People have been telling scary stories about the tombs lately so I decided to check it out for myself. I grabbed my knife and put it in my boot. I didn't take my sling shot just in case I get caught. Next I grabbed my ID paper and headed out.

"Where you going?" asked Maddie as I walked out.

"Uhmm....Just getting some fresh air." and with that I snuck out of the cell block into the tombs. As I entered I pulled out my knife and picked up a flashlight I found on the ground. I turned on the light and pulled my knife up ready to strike. I started to hear footsteps right around the corner. I put my back against the walls, Right before to turn, ready for a fight. I finally prepared myself as much as I could. I swung around the sharp corner flinging my knife around expecting a walker. I could feel my knife make contact with something before it was knocked out of my grip. A bright light shined in my eyes, they adjusted and I could see a boy about my age staring at my, pointing a gun to my face. I raised my hands in surrender. I could see where my knife made contact with his right cheek. I was so screwed.
