Troy looked conflicted for a moment. He then launched into a short conversation with Chad
"So, dude, you know that school musical thing? Is it true you get extra credit just for auditioning?" Troy asked Chad.
"Who cares?" Chad scoffed.
"You know it's always good to get extra credit...for college," Troy told him.
"You ever think that Lebron James or Shaquille O'Neal auditioned for their school musical?" Chad asked.
"Maybe," Troy said.
"Troy. Look, the music in those shows isn't hip hop, ok or rock, or anything essential to culture. It's like show music. It's all costumes and makeup... Oh, dude, it's frightening." Chad told Troy.
"Yeah, I know. I just thought it might be a good laugh, you know. Sharpay's kinda cute, too." Troy said trying to cover up his curiosity.
"So is a mountain lion. But you don't pet it, " with that Chad walked away
