Feel free to shoot me for the excruciatingly long wait for the update, I would!

Short chapter, sorry :(

Throughout the whole film, I was absolutely petrified, as I knew I would be, and what made it a hundred times worse, was that Paige didn't protect me like she promised.

I knew she was pissed at me about the tickets, but it's just manners to be polite and the poor guy was only doing his job. Obviously image is important for me, but I'm not going to pretend to be someone I'm not just for the sake of bad press, and I know Paige finds it hard sometimes to hold up this perfect persona, even though we're not, not by a long shot but I just didn't think there was any need for her to be rude to the guy.

Ever since I met her, height has always been a sensitive subject for her, which is why I tried to be gentle about it, but I guess she was just feeling really fragile today.

Also I think she thinks my manager is going to pull me in to do something, but I made her promise she wouldn't, even got her to swear on her life. I know how precious our time is together, which is why I treasure it so much and try to get as much time off as I can.

I stumble out of the cinema, the sound of my heartbeat still pounding in my ears, beside me, Paige snorts and shakes her head at me.

"It wasn't that scary Jessie."

"Oh really, come back to me when you nearly get murdered several times because no one will help you." I retort.

"Wuss."

"Meanie."

"Scaredy-cat."

"Shut up."

"So how long till you get called back to the studios?" She sneers, walking backwards, staring at me, with an otherwise vacant expression.

"How many times do I have to tell you?!" I exclaim exasperatedly, "I'm all yours." I reach for her hand but she jumps back.

"Like I haven't heard that before." She spits bitterly.

I snap then, I've had enough of her shit, I don't care that we're in the middle of the street, she is pissing me off.

"Stop Paige. Just stop ok?" I growl, "there's nowhere else I'd rather be than with you on my day off."

"Don't flatter yourself."

"You know what? You can fuck off." I hiss, "I've tried apologising and all you do is throw it back in my face, if you need me, which I'm sure you won't but I'm going to get food and lots of it."

A few passersby glance at our heated exchange but most just ignore us, it's not out of the ordinary to see people arguing so why should we be any different?

I begin to stalk off in the other direction, my strides quickening with every step, as if they're trying to keep up with my racing mind.

"Bambi.. Wait." A wobbly voice calls after me.

She hasn't called me that in ages, I almost melt on the spot, I close me eyes and inhale. Stopping almost immediately almost sends me off balance.

"My Bambi is a clumsy little fawn." She murmurs, lacing her fingers through mine, gently turning me to face her. "I'm sorry." She whispers.

I nod numbly, "you know you can tell me if anything is bothering you, don't you?" She looks up at me for the first time, biting her lip she nods.

"I know it's no excuse but just before we left the hotel, my dad text me.." She trails off.

"Is everything ok?" I ask, concerned, she falls against me, shaking her head against my chest, muffled sobs enveloping her small petite frame. "Baby, what is it?"

"Carriann's in hospital, she was in an accident."
