||Author's Note||
(If you think this is one of those books with the good girl loosing her innocence because of a bad boy or two, then you are wrong. This is just a simple friendship story that is dedicated to all those who are being bullied. After all, it was made around the time my depression kicked in.)
Me: I am truly sorry for your inconvenience, but I was 9. Have an awesome day with some kewkies.
Reader: *groans* But--
Me: Have an awesome day with some kewkies!
(Basically my reaction to groans and buts)
Okay, so this book was made when I was around the age of nine. Back then I really wanted to fit in and stop being bullied, even though I knew that I'd have to cope with it for the rest of my life because of my colour-blindness and heterochromia. I had never thought that I'd find this story and re-write this and type it for all of y'all to read. I never had a chance for anyone to help me focus my writing into becoming better so I am really sorry if this book has bad and poor grammar.
I know that this book is called 'The Key' and it seems to have no connection between the categories of bullying or friendship, but that's where most are wrong. We victims (actually all of us) have this key that enables us to actually trust people, but if you are bullied constantly and slowly loose your trust in basically everyone that key gets rusty which results in the person to throw it into the ocean and build walls around themselves. I know that isn't true like how I'm saying that we have a key to our trust and how we build walls around ourselves when we throw the key away, but bear with me. After all, it is figurative language.
This book is dedicated to people like me. People who have been bullied for being who they are. That includes Nerd, Geeks, and Unpopular kids. Oh and people with disabilities like colour-blindness, heterochromia, not being able to control a part of their system or being blind/mute. We all are special just the way we are and here, Meredith shows people that killing yourself isn't the choice. Surviving can do you better. If others can do it,. then so can you. Stay Strong, you have me. You have us.
I know that bullying can be hard and depressing, but I'm sure (well I hope) that this book can make you see otherwise. No, don't get the wrong idea! I'm just hoping that this book can make you laugh with the characters (the good ones), cry, smile, and above all love your differences. I know that many people have said it before, but I'm just gonna tell you that bullying isn't just your problem, it's everyone's problem. People shouldn't turn a blind eyes, especially not adults. They should help the victim, help end the bullying, but sadly, they don't. You know why? Because bullying is continuous. It will go on forever and ever. The only time it would stop is when either the victim dies or when the world stops spinning on it's axis (hopefully those don't happen to you and us).

I cannot stress how important the two lines above are. By the terms and agreements, Wattpad allows me to have all rights reserved of EVERY single word, every single period that I have worked hard to re-write. Despite my English teacher (British English for all you who are wondering) telling me that "Imitation is not just the sincerest form of flattery. Imitation is the sincerest form of learning" (Which by the way is quoted from George Bernard Shaw [Ha! Take that Ms. Smith! I do remember my history things!] If you were wondering. Give him credit, not me.) I believe that writing was not created to be copied, it was to help others escape from reality. (Which by the way isn't colourful, I should know). I hopefully won't see others copying whatever I have spent most of my time (while I could have been studying for upcoming pop quizzes and finals. Not that I need to anyways) re-writing this so all of you could read it.
Not to leave this author's note in a bitter way, I wish you luck. Again, this is my first draft of trying to edit this from when I was 9. I wish you luck in trying to comprehend what is going to happen in the chapters following this chapter note. I am very very VERY sorry for any plotholes or bad grammar, so please, do forgive my unholy grammar.
(I've always wanted to say that.)
Another thing, please keep in mind that I sometimes tend to misplace my glasses and end up writing or typing gibberish because of my colour-blindness. (Which I had to search up make sure i spelled it right.) And since I am too lazy to update every chapter every day it may take me a day or two to update. (Once I have gone a whole month without updating, but it won't happen on this one...I hope)
So yeah, that is all I have for now. Good day ma'am or sir. I hopefully will update tomorrow or the day afterwards. Have an awesome day!
Person: *snickers* That's it?
Me: Again is said: Have an awesome day!
Person: Ok--
Me: Bye! Bye-Bye dear stranger. May be meet again. Parting is such sweet sorrow!
