No matter how many times you plead no,
No.
The waves replete with strength and emotions,
Washing over you and your greatest regrets.
A pernicious observation over every sin that has gradually unfolded from your grasp,
And all you can do is wither,
Wither, deteriorate.
From below its brawn and power, its extensive logic on how to make one feel ignominious.
You timidly stare at these waves, shuddering.
Fleeing, hiding away while absorbing your own cowardice.
And why is it that no matter how negligible you feel, your act on the waves remains the same.
You take it in,
Let the dismaying waves crash over your face, drowning you.
You may weep,
You may fall on your knees and beg.
However, you never fight.
You never stand up to the shadows that the waves cast once they roar over you.
Although they are immense in every way, in size, in power,
You are able to shed that outer layer of utter fear, and conceal the agony.
Disregard the waves of regretful sin, and watch them fall at your feet,
Like you once did before them.
