We quickly ran across the road.

We were getting soaked because it was pouring, then I saw it.

The funnel cloud was heading towards us, it was at the end of the road.

Noah pushed me and Jay to the cellar, as we stopped and took it in.

Just as we got to the cellar it started hailing.

We climbed into the cellar and found Taylor and Heather playing fishy fishy in the sea.

Just then our ears popped, atmospheric pressure dropped.

"Keep swallowing!" Noah yelled as we heard a train sound.

Taylor had gum and was listening to music with headphones so he was set.

The ground moved and a little dirt fell.

Heather and Taylor were under an umbrella.

I covered Jay's head, and wrapped my arms around him, Noah wrapped himself around us, As we stood in the corner, across from Brandon and Patrick.

A minute later, it was Gone. We listened on the radio for awhile.

Then Noah and Brandon, checked everything out and When it was clear we all came out.

It seems the tornado went down the middle of the street and then went away.

All the houses were fine, but there was a lot of debris.

It stopped raining and cleared up. We all sat around in Noah's kitchen.

Hours later I said, "Jay we should be getting you home. Your parents are going to be scared to death. Where do you live? Ill drive you."

He looked at me and then to the floor, he didn't answer. "Jay please, we have to get you home your parents must be worried "

I tried and tried but he kept staring at the ground.

"Look at her when she is talking to you." Noah said, Jay looked at Noah, "yes sir."

He looked at me and back to Noah, "Well are you going to answer her?" Noah said.

Jay looked scared then said, "Ms. Ramirez, can I tell you about that drawing now?"

He looked at me, "of course, please." I said.

He then started. "You said drawing something that expresses us and that did...because.... It feels like I'm in this big storm, and the words family, food, home, alone, money, clothes, mom, dad, and depression...those words mean um...They're all words that I wish I had, or they're words that I feel. I feel alone, because I...I don't have anywhere or anyone to go to everyday. Which why I have dad, mom, home, and depressed on it."

My heart sunk, "don't say that." He looked around at all of us and gestured,"I don't have money, family, a home, which means I only have very little clothes, and only eat the school lunch. "

"Well son where do you stay?" Noah asked.

"Usually in someone's hallway, barn, or by a tree, and I leave early before anyone sees me. And for my clothes I only have like 3 shirts and shorts, and these torn shoes." He pointed to his feet. "And in my bookbag I have that stuff And a sketch pad and pencil."

I looked at Noah. Noah met my eyes.
And I knew we were both thinking the same thing, which was,

We had to help him.
