Chapter Two The... Date?

I was on my way to...actually I'm not sure where.
"Theo, where are we even going?" I asked Theo.
"Its a surprise. You'll see." He said as he turned to me and then looked back at the rode.
"Why can't you just tell me?"
"Because it's a surprise. If I tell you it won't be a surprise."
"Okay fair enough."

Soon Theo pulled up to a silent grassy area.
"Where are we?" I asked confused.
"Only my most favorite place in the world!" He said as he pulled out a blanket and a basket.
"A picnic? But we've already had lunch."
"I know, but its not just any picnic."
"What do you mean?"
"Just wait. You'll see when we get it all set up. Now come here and help me lay down this blanket." He said with a smirk. It was a really cute smirk. It really suited him. It was sweet and kind. I ran over to Theo and grabbed two corners of the blanket. We threw it up, still holding on to it letting it slowly float down to the ground.
"Now, for the beat part." Theo said as he sat down and I sat beside him. He pulled the basket close to him and lulled out a blue container.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Open your mouth and close your eyes."
"Why?"
"Well if you wanna find out what's in this thing that's what you've gotta do." He said laughing.
I closed my eyes.
"Okay now open you mouth." I opened my mouth slowly. "Now bite." I took a bite of what Theo wanted to surprise me with. It tasted sweet and chocolaty. "What do you think it is?" He asked me my eyes still shut.
"Umm its a fruit with chocolate."
"What fruit though?"
"Uhh...strawberry?" I answered but it sounded more like a question.
"Correct." He answered and then I opened my eyes to see a cute smile on his face. "Now for the next one."
"Wait. I want more of those strawberries." I said laughing.
"Help yourself." Theo said chuckling then handed me the container of chocolate covered strawberries.
"These are so good. You should have one." I said after I finished chewing the bite of my fifth strawberry.
"You know I think I will." He said and I laughed.
"You know I really like your laugh." Theo said. I felt a rush of heat fill my cheeks.
"Thank you." I answered a bit shyly.
"Awww don't get shy. I'm supposed to give you compliments. What kind of guy would I be if I didn't give a girl compliments on a date?"

I nearly spit out my food.

DATE!!? WE'RE ON A DATE??!!?

"On this is a date?" I asked feeling stupid.
"Yeah. Is that a problem?" He asked his smile fading away and a worried look swooped over his face.
"No. Not at all." I smiled and I could just see the relief spread across his face with his smile.

"Wow this was really fun Theo!" I said. Theo and I were laying on the blanket side by side just staring up at the beautiful dimmed blue sky.
"Yeah?"
"Yes it really was."
"We'll...since you liked this one, do you wanna go on another date with me?"
"Yes I would live to Theo." I began to smile even bigger when I felt Theo intertwine our finger together.

I was laying in my bed. I couldn't stop smiling. Theo was the sweetest guy ever.

I picked up my phone seeing it for the first time since this morning before school.

Shit!!

I had 5 texts from Scott and 5 texts from mom.

Seriously lace this is not the time to ignore me

Lacy please you're scaring me. Please let me know if you're okay?!

Lacey I'm coming home!! I'll be there as soon as I can!!!

Wait why were they all of them asking if I was okay. They seem so freaked out.
