A Good Life (Sequel to A Good Man)

"Good Job Stephanie with work like that you might get promoted" My boss said 

I smiled as I got my stuff together 

As you know I'm now Stephanie Crippen. A 28 year old lawyer in criminal law not family court no more. I still have four kids.

Number five on the way. Craig is hoping for a boy. I'm only 4 months pregnant. Now Craig still a detective for LAPD. But he has complete two new albums with Mindless Behavior. We bawling. Yup everything is good in my life with my big family.  

I got home, to see Katherine having Khalil in 

a head lock. 

"I'm gonna kill you" Katherine said 

"Mom help" He said 

I got Katherine off of Khalil 

"What the hell going on" I said 

"Khalil told the boy I like and told him I like him" Katherine said 

Khalil stuck his tongue at him. Katherine tried to attack him again.  

"Go to your rooms" I said 

They both marched up to their rooms. I went to my bedroom and see Craig getting dressed in his suit pant and his blue button down shirt. 

"How was work" He asked 

"Tiring" I took my heels of and laid on the bed 

He climb on to on me and kissed me 

"How my two babies doing" he asked 

"Baby girl number three sound so good" I said 

"No not enough males" He said 

"Don't you got a job to go to"  

"Yeah"He kissed my cheek "See you tonight"  

He went downstairs then I heard someone scream. I got up and went downstairs. 

"Look what I drew mommy" Kalila said showing me a piece of paper with scribble 

"This is pretty Kay" I said taking it "it going up on the fridge" 

She smiled at me. I walked to in the kitchen and I hung the picture up. I heard the house phone ring. I put Kalila in one arm and for the phone in the other. 

"Hello" I answer 

"Stephanie we need you at the office for the Martin trial" my boss said 

"My husband just went to work and I'm home alone with my four kids" I said 

"Do you wanna be off this case" 

"No sir" 

"Okay I expect you here in 15 minute"  

"Yes" 

He hung up the phone. I dialed Jakarta number. 

"Hello" Chresanto answered 

"Hey Chres where's Jakarta at" I asked 

"She is" He got cut off by someone screaming "Rocky" 

Did I mention Jakarta and Chresanto are married. With a baby boy named after Chresanto. 

"That's Cj"  

"Yeah what happened" 

"I got called in to go back yup work and Craig not home and I can't leave these kids by themselves" 

"Bring them by the house I'll watch them" 

"Thank you" I hung up 

"Kids in the car you going to Chres house"I yelled 

I got all the kids in the car and I drove to Chresanto house. When I got in the driveway and I see Jakarta outside. Katherine and Khalil ran and hugged her. 

"I need to head to the job so thank for watching them" I said 

"Okay don't work too hard you don't wanna hurt that baby" She taking bout my pregnant belly. 

"Whatever you are the best" I got back in the car and drive to the office. 

I got in the meeting room to see my boss 

"Stephanie what I need done is statement from the arresting officers do go to the station" my boss said 

"Okay so it's Bridget Malik and" I looked back at the case file "Craig Crippen" 

"Isn't that your husband" my assistant Jasmin said 

"Yeah" I said 

"Whatever Go get the statement" my boss said 

I got in my car and drive to the police station. I was greeted by some of the officers. 

"Stephanie what you doing here" Craig said 

"On the job I need your statement and your partner statement Bridget Malik on the arrest of Nikki Martin" I said 

"Where the kids" He asked 

"With Jakarta" I said 

I got the statement down and went back to the office. Then for the last 6 hours we prepared for the trial that started tomorrow. It was almost midnight when I got home. I have to be at the courthouse at 8am. I slowly got in the house and went in the kitchen. I saw a plate of food left for me with a note. 

You can't go without eating so eat up-Craig 

I smiled and I heated up the food. I sat down and ate then I went upstairs. I undressed and went to take a shower. I then sat in bed with Craig just sleeping next to me. I looked through my phone then I felt arms around me. 

"You need to sleep babe" I heard a sleepy Craig said

"I know I have to go to court tomorrow" I said

"What you got arrest for" He said

"Nothing babe go back to sleep"

"I need my teddy bear" 

I laid down and he cuddled up close to me. Then I heard soft snores. I smiled and I slowly fell asleep in his arms
