AN: This immediately follows the previous chapter, same day.Chapter 9: Emma and Regina
Mary Margaret Blanchard felt like the luckiest teenager/person in the world, she was walking home, holding hands with her incredibly handsome boyfriend David Nolan, about to introduce him to her parents properly and have lunch possibly with her whole family (her mother, her father, David and Emma).
"David?" she called his name, leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Right here" he answered, stopping.
"Thank you for doing this, really"
"Hey, it is my pleasure and also my will, I really want to meet your family" he said.
"Thank you" she said again, standing on her toes and placing a soft kiss on his lips.
They started walking again until they got to the door of the Blanchard's house, where Mary Margaret got her keys out and opened the lock. She breathed im the smell of her house and percieved the smell of food that had probably been cooked by her mother. She turned around to face her boyfriend and smiled at him reassuringly.
"Close the door" she told him quietly. "Mom? Dad? Emma? I'm home!" she said loudly.
"We're in the living room!" her mother answered from further inside the house.
They walked to the living room, Mary Margaret at the front and David right behind her. When they arrived she saw both her parents sitting on two different couches but happily talking. She cleared her throat softly, making them both turn around.
"Hi, mom, dad, this..." she stepped aside and David took a shy step forward. "This is my boyfriend David" she smiled.
"It's very nice to meet you both" David said awkwardly.
Both Eva and Leopold looked at their daughter and then at her boyfriend, they smiled back at the happy girl and stood up to get near.
"It's a pleasure Sir, Mrs." he said, shaking the Blanchard's hands.
"Oh, no need for titles. I'm Leopold, she's Eva, call us that son, you're now part of the family" the older man said. "I'm very glad our Mary finally found someone of her liking, I am sure you are a very honorable young man"
"Maybe we should sit on the table? It's great to meet you too David. Why don't you two leave your things on the couch while I set the table" Eva said.
The sound of footsteps came from the stairs and the family (added David) turned around to see shortly after a very happy-looking Regina Mills with a heavy back pack on her back enter the living room.
"Regina?" Mary Margaret asked, confused.
Regina turned around and saw the crouded living room, her smile faded.
"Oh, I-I'm sorry. I was just leaving" she said. "Thank you Mrs. Blanchard, you were lovely" she bowed her head at Eva and started to walk away.
"Wait, Regina?" Eva said. "Why don't you go upstairs for Emma and stay to eat with us?"
"I don't want to interrupt anything, you seem to have something important going on, you're really kind but if you wish I can go for Emma and as soon as she's down here I'll leave" she answered.
"I'm sure we have enough food. Emma and friend are welcome to join the table" Leopold insisted, helping his wife.
"Well then. I guess I can't say no. Thank you, we'll be down in no time" Regina said and quickly went up the stairs again.
