"Aish, Jinx, what are you doing?" Kaiya moaned, frowning.
Jinx smirked and gave the piece of wood one last tug, before it ripped off and went flying across her room.
"I hid it in here...about two years ago." Jinx said softly, reaching into the gap in her floor.
She made a happy sort of noise, and Kaiya looked up excitedly.
"Have you found it?"
Jinx nodded, her eyes wide as she looked at the dusty old bottle.
"Yep. This is it."
"How are you going to make him drink it?" Kaiya asked with uncertainty.
Jinx shrugged.
"I'll find a way. I'll use my charms." She laughed.
Kaiya frowned, biting her lip.
"Look, listen to your unnie, Jinx, and just stay out of it."
"I promised May I'd do it for her. He's a jerk, and he needs to be taught a lesson." Jinx giggled.
"You're just going to get yourself into trouble. If you dad finds out he'll go crazy..." Kaiya whispered.
Jinx shrugged.
"He'll get over it. Besides, it's not as if I ever use what I've got, is it? I wish I could, but dad says I'm too"powerful" and I could "kill someone". Ha! He's just scared I'll overthrow him! I've got to live up to the council's expectations at some point. Dad's got no choice."
"Fine. But if we get caught, I'm not getting involved!" Kaiya raised her hands.
"Oh, you're a good friend, aren't you?" Jinx scowled, folding her arms.
"Aish, fine, whatever. I'll help you."
"Gamsahabnida." Jinx smiled.Jinx and Kaiya sat, their feet on their desks, watching the rest of the class acting like fools while waiting for the teacher to arrive. Jinx's eyes never left the 10 young men in the corner. The corner of her lips curled into a small, evil smile. Suddenly May skidded around the corner into the classroom, panting. She was sweating, and her hair was all over the place. Jinx smiled at her friend kindly, and pulled a brush out from her bag.
"Hey! May! What's up? Can't you even make yourself look even the slightest bit presentable? Man...there must be something seriously wrong with you." B-Joo laughed nastily.
Jinx stood up slowly and turned to him, calmly. Her eyes cold. May swallowed, her eyes watering, sick of the constant flow of insults she always received.
"Watch your mouth, Byungjoo."
"Don't call me that." B-Joo rolled his eyes, snarling.
Jinx laughed softly.
"Do you really want to speak to me like that, Byungjoo? I think you should rethink your attitude, sweetheart...before I make you."
"I'll speak to you however I like, you little---" B-Joo stood up sharply, before Hansol grabbed his wrist, cutting him off.
"Stop. Just keep away from her. Keep your mouth shut, and stop acting like a spoilt brat." He said calmly.
"That's right, listen to your boyfriend." Jinx smirked.
"Jinx!" May gasped.
Jinx rolled my eyes.
"Oh stop it. The whole class knows they're both gay. And if they're not...then why take offence? Aish...you wait B-Joo...you just wait."
Jinx and Kaiya shared a smirking, knowing look.
B-Joo stared at them, frowning.
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
Jinx chuckled.
"Oh...you'll see." She said, smiling sweetly, before sitting back in her chair as Mrs Song hurried in, looking flustered.Jinx slipped into the empty classroom where ToppDogg usually hung out, and gently slipped a bottle of Lucozade in B-Joo's bag. She smiled and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"That'll teach you to make my friend cry, you little bastard..."
Jinx heard someone coming down the hallway and gasped, grabbing her bag quickly and jumping out of the window, to land safely on the ground...two stories down. The next day, Jinx, May and Kaiya looked up, hearing a scream coming from outside. May frowned.
"Who's that?"
Jinx giggled.
"I believe it's B-Joo."
May blinked, confused as B-Joo came running in, his face plastered in bright red spots.
"I don't even know where they came from! They just appeared! I just had a drink of Lucozade, and they just appeared!"
Jinx bit her lip, trying hard not to laugh. Her eyes watered and even Kaiya was in silent stitches. They grabbed hold of each other's hands and held on tight, crying desperately. May got up and immediately ran to B-Joo.
"Oppa! Are you okay?!"
Jinx and Kaiya froze. They slowly turned to May, frowning.
"What?" Kaiya yelled. "You shouldn't care, May!"
Jinx put a hand to her head.
"May, you need to choose. Us. Or B-Joo. Because honestly, I can't stand another minute of you're crying. I'm so sick of seeing him hurt you. If you want him to make you cry, then by all means, just ignore us, and carry on letting him hurt you. Just don't come crawling back to us."
Hansol studied Jinx carefully, his eyes sparkling.
"B-Joo~ you don't need a girl like May. Let her go. Honestly, I'm sick of the drama too."
Jinx met Hansol's eyes, curious. B-Joo shrugged.
"Fine. May...go back to your ugly cave, you little shrek."
Jinx glared at B-Joo, angry.
"Shrek? Really? What's wrong with you? Aish, you think you're so amazing."
B-Joo rolled his eyes.
"Chill, sweetie, don't get your knickers in a bunch."
Jinx growled and Hansol sharply yanked B-Joo down into his chair. Hansol looked up at the sky in exasperation.
"Man, you can be so immature, sometimes, B-Joo."
As soon as the bell rang, and Hansol got up to go to class, Jinx grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. She waited until everyone had left, and then finally looked at Hansol, folding her arms.
"How come you helped me? How come you got B-Joo to leave May alone?"
Hansol shrugged.
"Like I said, I was sick of the drama."
Jinx frowned.
"Oh."
Hansol laughed softly and suddenly grabbed Jinx's wrist, yanking her close to him.
"I know it was you, Jinx. I know it was you that caused B-Joo so much anguish."
"How do you know that?" Jinx sighed, pushing him away.
Hansol chuckled, meeting Jinx's eyes.
"Be careful, Song Jinx. Don't mess with powers you don't understand."
And then he swiftly walked out of the classroom, leaving Jinx standing there, her mouth open, her eyes wide, and her heart pounding in shock.
Did he know?
