It was a day just like any other in the city of New Townsville. The boys formerly known as the Rowdy Ruff Boys Z were out of town, and were coming back the next day. Their girlfriends, the Power Puff Girls Z were anxiously waiting for their arrival home, as they were out for two weeks. Well.... Two of them were, anyway. Bubbles freely showed her anxiety, while Buttercup acted like she didn't care. But Blossom..... She almost feared their arrival home. Her two friends were pregnant, Bubbles three months, Buttercup one month. And Blossom knew she was as well. But, She has a secret. As she was considered the leader of the Power Puff Girls Z, she was constantly targeted. Now, she feared that her unborn children were in danger. There's a dark force, known as Nightrise*, A company of villains who runs tests on chemicals to make super villains. Blossom has had a few run ins with them, and they weren't good. They plan to take her first born daughter and use her as their ultimate machine. They said they need the her daughter, who should be born with powers, thanks to the Chemical Z. Now, she fears what will happen. Since she found out, six days ago, she has been forming a plan. She's going into hidding, and when the child/children are born, If it's a boy, she shall return, If it's a girl, they shall go into hidding, and if it's two, one of each, She'll give Brick his son before disappearing with her daughter.

Bubbles POV, 16 hours after Blossom left

We're all gathering at my place, Buttercup, Blossom, and I, to see the boys. The doorbell rings, and Buttercup walks in.

"You were supposed to get Blossom." I say.

"She's not here? She wasn't at her place, so I thought she was here." She says.

"Maybe she stopped off somewhere." I say, relaxing.

"Guess who's back!" Boomer says as the guys walk in the door. He hugs me, and I see Butch and Buttercup already arguing. Brick is staring at his phone.

"Have you girls seen Blossom since Thursday? I haven't heard from her since then." Brick asks.

"Now that you mention it, I haven't. And, when I went to get her, she wasn't there." Buttercup says.

"I've tried calling her ten times. She hasn't answered." Brick says. Then, suddenly, his phone rings, and he answers it, walking into the spare bedroom. He stays in there, and we hear small sobs. When he comes out, he's practically broken.

"What happened?" I ask.

"She just called me from a payphone. She said not to look for her, and that she'll be back within a year." He says, before laying down on the couch. We all look at each other, before I break down, crying into Boomer's shoulder.

Blossom's POV 1 year since she left

"Two children. Your son is perfectly healthy. But.... Your daughter's weak. She may grow up with slight breathing difficulty, but she should be fine." That's what the nurse said. My two children. My son, Aaron, and My daughter, Fawn. Now, I stand in the park in New Townsville, waiting for Brick. I called him from the Payphone at the train station an hour ago. My daughter is in the care of my cousin Karin, who promised to keep her a secret. Aaron in wrapped beside me.

"Blossom. Oh My God. Where have you been?" Brick asks, running to me. He kisses me gently.

"Brick. I don't have much time to talk. This..... This is your son, Aaron." I say, and gently hand Aaron to him. He gasps.

"The reason you left then....." I nod, and hand him an envelope.

"These are all his birth documents. Please. Take good care of him for me." I say.

"Blossom. Aren't.... Aren't you staying?" He asks, tears in his eyes.

"Brick. I can't. I can't tell you where I'm going, or what I'm doing, because I don't know. All I know is that I can't stay. Please. Just let me do this. I love you. Both of you. Always remember that." I say, and kiss him one last time, before hurrying away, leaving him standing there. I quickly get to the train station, and get on the train to Helberg, the next town over. I choose a secluded seat, and watch as the scenery rolls by. During the hour ride, I let some tears fall, before collecting myself. I have to stay strong. For the sake of my daughter.

*The name Nightrise belongs to author Anthony Horowitz. I admire his work, and just love the name.
