Fawn and Aaron grew up very differently from each other.
Aaron, though only twelve, was one of the cool guys. He was great at sports, mainly football and lacrosse, and everyone liked him. Not to mention, he's sort of the class clown. He always has a smile on his face. Though he's not the smartest in the class, he's in all the highest classes. He has orangish brown hair and green eyes.
Fawn, however, was very skilled. Unlike her brother, she's shy. She doesn't enjoy being around people and enjoys the cover of home. Her mother explained everything to her when she was seven when her powers appeared. She has a sort of telekinesis, which allows her to take control of things. She's got it mostly under control, but it goes astray when she gets emotional. That's why she hides her emotions. She's used to moving around, not staying in one place too long. But, she's always at the top of her class. Is very good at field hockey, archery, track, horseback riding, and tennis. She's a great musician and a technological wiz. She always helps her mother with things, like grocery shopping. She never whines or complains, and has trouble making friends. That's thanks to a girl she met, who ditched her for a bully. After that, She became wary of people not related to her. She also has knowledge on Nightrise and understands that she needs to keep her powers a secret. She has long brown hair and purple eyes.
While Brick and Aaron live on the same street as their family, Blossom and Fawn have had multiple apartments and lived in many different places. The two lived as differently as twins could. Until they met.
Blossom's POV, Twelve years later
"Mom. Are you sure about this?" Fawn asks as we finish packing up the car and climb into the front. Her pet, a chipmunk named Zera, is sitting on her shoulder.
"Yeah. Everything is ready for you in New Townsville, and the organization has a large base there." I say. We joined an anti-Nightrise organization, so we can help stop them. After contacting Brick six months ago, I've gone and visited him and Aaron many times. Fawn hasn't come with me, but she's talked a little via video chat.
"I don't know. I've never met them, and now I'm supposed to live with them! I don't know....." She says as we get on the road.
"You know, after that bully kicked Serena out of her little group, her family moved to New Townsville. Maybe you can give her another chance. She did try to make up for what she did." I say. She gives me a glare.
"Sure. Let the one person I trusted other than you who broke my trust be my friend again. Like that's going to work. Why are you bringing her up?" Fawn asks.
"She and her family joined the organization after the bully. Apparently, that bully is a member on Nightrise." I say, and her eyes widen.
"Wait...... Does she have any powers?" She asks.
"A ring chose her, just like you," I say. If a ring chooses you, that means you are destined to fight Nightrise. Fawn looks down at her ring, the spiraling yellow lines of diamond making lightning bolts.
"They say that I'm powerful enough to gain control of one of the elements. Do you think that's true?" Fawn asks.
"Fawn. Yes. I do believe that." I say. She smiles.
"So. What's my new life gonna be like?" She asks.
"You're about to find out. Welcome to New Townsville." I say. She looks out the window.
"Look Zera! That's the organization's building." Fawn says to her chipmunk. The small animal's eyes follow Fawn's arm to what she's pointing at. It's amazing, the way she only understands her.
"And, welcome to the neighborhood," I say as we turn onto our street.
"Woah. Are we rich?" She asks, marveling at the large houses. They're really just small mansions.
"Fawn, Your father, your aunts, uncles, and I WERE the town heroes. This was how they rewarded us." I say as we turn into the gated driveway that branches out into three.
"Very interesting." She says. We pull into the one on the right.
"Welcome home," Brick says as I get out. Aaron must be at one of the other's. Fawn gets out, with Zera hiding on her shoulder, holding Fawn's hair in front of her. She has no reaction, she's just staring.
"Wow. For once, she has nothing to say." I say, chuckling. The three of us spend the next hour moving the stuff from the car to the house. I notice Fawn taking a whole trip to carefully carry her bow and arrows to her room. The bow was handcrafted from an old Indian in the organization. He was her mentor, and hand carved her bow, even putting her name on it, and vine designs on it. She treasures it deeply. Zera sneaks into the house without being seen, scrambling into Fawn's room.
"Why don't you get unpacked?" I tell her, and she nods, going up to her room.
"I'm glad you're here," Brick says, hugging me.
"I'm glad we're here too," I reply.
"So. Tell me what I'm going to need to know about my daughter?" He asks.
"She's shy, but she's a great musician. She looks fragile, but she's tough. And she may seem a little cold, but she's just had bad experiences. She'll just need time." I say, and he nods.
Fawn's POV
"Oh Zera, do you think we'll be happy here?" I ask my bat, sitting down on my bed. "I mean... I'm glad we're with my family, but what if they get hurt. I hope they don't get dragged into this. She jumps on my shoulder and nudges me. I hear the doorbell ring and look outside. There are people that mom says we're related to down there. I recognize my brother. I look at them closely. They all seem like cheerful people, who don't really act seriously. That's what bothers me.
"I won't fit in. They're such happy people, unaware of what's going on in the shadows." I whisper to myself, moving away from my window. I go over to the small chest I have. It has a flat top where I put my bow case. I gently open the case and look at my bow. Perfectly carved wood, dyed black while in the carvings, it's yellow, like lightning.
"My dear, I shall be arriving in New Townsville a few weeks before you. Until we meet again, I want you to remember that whatever happens, you must let your anger and your fear guide you. Do what your scared to do. And remember, while every other teacher will tell you to never let you emotions loose in a fight, I'm telling you to let them loose. As my prized student, I have learned that your not like others. Your powers depend on your emotions." These are the words my teacher, Broken Arrow, said to me before we departed. He's here now, in New Townsville. I can't wait to see him again. He's the reason my powers become greater every day.
"Fawn. The rest of the family is here if you want to meet them. It's okay if you don't." Mom says through the door.
"If it's okay with you, I think I'm going to turn in for the night. I'm pretty tired." I say.
"Okay. See you tommarow then." I say good night, and shower before quickly falling asleep.
