sam's pov
I run downstairs and am about to walk out the door when Jc says something, "hey where are you going? did you clean out kian's room already?". "Jc you have to come with me" I say grabbing his hand and pulling him towards me.
"what-what do you mean? go where?" he asks pulling his hand away slowly. "We have to find kian" I say grabbing my car keys, still holding the book that held all of kian's secrets.
"What why!?" he asks. i hold up the book to jc's face. "This is why" i say.

Once Jc is done reading the letter Kian wrote to me, he looked to me," Sam..I understand that Kian wants you to find him. But I don't think this is a good idea. He left for a reason and it's not like you love him back" he says.
I bite my lip hard and Jc catches my reaction. "Wait...you love him?" he asks.
I nod. "I always have".
"Well where the hell are we gonna find him? We have no idea where he went" he says.
"I was hoping that I could just call him and he would pick up but I have a feeling it won't be that easy" I say scratching the back of my neck.
"It's worth a shot" he says.
I scroll through my contacts until I reach kian's number. I hesitate a little bit but then quickly click on his name and the phone starts to ring. I put it on speaker just in case he does pick up so Jc can hear. it rings 5 times and I'm about to hang up when it stops ringing.
he picked it up.
on the other end of the call I hear someone say hello. holy shit it's him.
"Hello who is this?" he asks again.
I take a deep breath before answering. "Hey Kian right?" I ask just to make sure.
"Yeah..." he says.
"Hey, it's me" I pause. "Sam"
I hear a pause on the other side of the call like he's trying to figure out what to say.
"Kian?" Jc asks.
I hear him take a deep breath and he finally answers," Why are you calling me?"
"I found the letter you wrote to me. I thought I should call you" I say not knowing what else to say.
"You found it?" he asks almost like he didn't believe it.
"Yeah I did".
"God Sam I'm so sorry that I didn't have the guts to tell you to your face.." he says.
"It's okay. I'm not mad"
"Wait if your calling me does that mean?-"
"I love you" I say.
"You do?" he asks softly.
"I do. I had no idea that you felt that way about me until now"
"I do. I've always loved you. I just didn't think you loved me back"
"Where are you Ki? I miss you" I say.
"Come find me" he says. Just then I got a text from Kian and noticed that he sent me an address.
"I'm coming for you" I say hanging up on in and quickly grab my keys as Jc and I both get into my car and drive off to the mystery destination.

"Alright Sam I just put this address into my phone and this place is 5 hours away from us and it doesn't even look like a house. I looked on Google Earth and all that's there is an abandoned gas station or some shit" he says showing me a picture.
"Well why would he lie about his destination. Doesn't he want us to find him" I say pulling up to a stop sign.
"I don't know.. I just don't feel right about this" he says, shutting his phone off and resting his head on the back of the seat.
"It does sound sketchy but we at least have to try" I say.

3 long hours later, we stop at a little diner to get something to eat. I basically inhale my food because I don't want to miss any time where we could be on the road going to Kian. each second we drive closer to the address, I feel close to him already. I feel whole again.
Once we both are done eating, we get into the car. "Wait Sam!" he says grabbing my arm as I attempt to start the car. "You need some rest, we can't keep driving. We still have 2 hours left of this" he says.
"Jc I'm not sleeping until I find him"
"Sam at least let me drive then. You look really tired".
I sigh loudly, "Fine!" I say getting out of the drivers seat and over to the passengers side.
Jc started the car and we continued driving.

"Sam" I hear someone call.
"Sam come on wake up" as I feel someone shake my arm.
I open my eyes and see Jc.
"We're here" he says.
I slowly raise my head and see the abandoned gas station that Jc showed me on his phone.
I unbuckle my seat belt and walk over to the entrance.
Jc walks over next to me and looks at me.
"You ready?" he asks.
I nod as we both step inside the gas station.
