Sam's pov
Jc and I both step inside the gas station and part ways. I head to the back of the building while Jc was looking for Kian in the front. I scanned the empty shelves and kept walking to the back where there was another section of the building. I opened the door to see nothing but boxes of mysterious items. I called out Kian's name and looked around and realized that no one was here. I went back to the front of the building and hear Jc calling my name.
"Sam come over here! You gotta check this out!" he yelled. I quickly jogged over to him and took what was in his hands. It was a letter, or a clue. It was from Kian. There was no sign of him, but he left a note instead.
the note said:
well if your reading this, then congrats! you found me! well, almost found me. If you really want to find me, you're gonna have to try much harder. Look on the back of this paper and read the clue and you have to figure out where you have to go next. That destination will be where you will find your 2nd clue.
Good luck,
Sincerely, Kian Lawley

I look up at Jc and then flip over the letter. On the back, read the clue out loud to Jc:
if the red house is on the right and if the blue house is on the left. Where's the white house?
The answer is where you will find the next clue. To give you a hint, this specific building is found in the capital of the Unites States.
I look up confusingly at Jc. "What the hell does this mean?" I ask. Jc scratches the back of his head. "Well he is talking about a White House, so do you thinking that he's talking about the actual White House? Where the president is?" he asks. My eyes go wide,"Wait that would make sense, because the White House is in Washington D.C which is the capital of the United States!" I say.
"Wait, so did he actually hide the note somewhere in the White House?" Jc asks.
"I don't know, but if he did then there is no way we will be able to get in there. There are millions of people protecting the inside and outside of that building" I say.
"Well if he got in there, then we should be able to get in there too" Jc says.
"This is crazy. There is no way that the note is in there" I say.
"Well, if we are gonna find that note we better go now" he says shoving the note in his pocket.
"Wait so we are seriously gonna sneak into the White House to find a note?! What if he's lying and he just wants us to get killed?" I say.
"Sam, I don't think Kian would do that. I think he wants to be found but he isn't making it very easy" he says.
I take my phone out of my pocket and check the time. "It's already 9, we should stay at a hotel tonight or something. I'm too tired to drive all the way there tonight" I say.
"Alright we will go check into a hotel but we are leaving early in the morning. I just wanna find him already" he says.
"Who knows how long this will go on though. What if he makes us go all the way to a different country?!" I say walking out of the gas station. Jc shrugs and says,"He's worth it right?". "Yeah...Yeah he is" I say smiling.
~~~
The closest hotel was maybe half an hour away from the gas station so we just went there.
We walked inside the hotel and Jc went to go pay for our room. When he was done, we got in the elevator and went up to our room.
Right when we go to our room I fell asleep.
~~~
"Sam wake up" I heard Jc say. "Come on Sam it's 7am we should get going" he says lightly shaking my shoulder.
I roll over on my back and groan. "UGHH I'm tired" I say covering my eyes from the bright light coming through the open windows.
"You can sleep in the car, I'll drive" Jc says grabbing everything we brought which wasn't much. We both went downstairs and gave the room key back as we headed back to the car and started our journey to Washington D.C.
