"My heart pounded as I rushed down the corridor. I held tight onto my child. The council wasn't having it with me and my now dead husband. Just the thought makes me want to stop and give up all hope. I know I can't let my daughter down now. My poor baby brought into this world like this. I jumped over carts of medicine and pushed down trash cans. The blinking lights didn't help my situation either. Just one more step and i can make it. I jumped out the window on the end of the hall. I cradled my child to make sure wasn't injured as i fell. I stood up and ran towards the my van. I hopped in and and strapped my daughter in. As I started the van i could hear men shouting and them trying to shoot at my van. I speed off down the hospital parking lot...."
I shot up from my bed. I was sweating like a pig. I hate it when i dream the same thing over and over. I opened my bedroom window to let some air. I felt the cool wind flow through my hair. I sat on the edge of my window and looked out at the view of the city. My house was located up on a hill so I got the most beautiful view of my life. It still takes my breath away when I look out my window every night. It breaks my heart that I have to leave my home, again.
For once in my life I just want to stay in one place for more than a year. My life has always consisted of moving boxes. I never had a permanent home. My mom is always telling me the next one will be the one, then her job is always calling her to another country, state, or region. I know she tries but I can't stand moving every year and living most of my life on a plane or in a car.
"Hey, Gemma!", I heard a whisper shout. I looked down to see the one person I'm going to miss most of all.
"Hey, James. What are you doing out so late?", I knew he was a night owl. That was really stupid question.
"I had to see the girl who seems to have my heart in her property."
I couldn't help but blush, James did have a way with my heart."What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to think.", I smile.
"Ouch, I can leave if you want."
"I was kidding. I'll be down in a minute."
"I know.", he smiled and took a slow bow.
I got up from my window and ran to my closet. I slipped on my batman slippers and tiptoed down the stairs. I didn't want to wake up my mom at 2 in the morning. I opened the door and was greeted by a smiling dork.
"Ma lady, may I have this last dance before you must go."
"Yes you may kind sir, but one question."
"And what might that question be?"
"Why are we talking like we're from the 1800's?"
"Good question and I have no answer for that."
"HA! CAUGHT YOU TWO IN ACTION!", I turned to see my demon of a brother."Now I have something to tell mom in the morning! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!", he turned and run up to his room.
I groan and went to chase after him."Thank's for coming by. I'll miss you so much.", I kissed Jame's cheek and took off after my brother.
