Brookshine raced into the trees. Sandystar called after her, but she didn't slow down. The sand-coloured leader raced after, and Snowtail followed.
"Wait! I'll talk to her!"
Snowtail meowed. Sandystar stopped, nodding to the white warrior. He sped up after Brookshine. Through the brambles, Snowtail could see her silver pelt.
"Brookshine! Stop!"
He called. She looked over her shoulder, but didn't slow down. Snowtail was gaining on her. Brookshine stopped and spun around, her ears flat and her pelt spiked. She let out a long hiss.
"Calm down,"
Snowtail meowed gently. Brookshine didn't move.
"I'm leaving, and you can't stop me!"
Brookshine spat.
"Tell me what happened!"
Snowtail demanded, ignoring her comment. Brookshine relaxed slightly.
"Fine,"
She whispered.
"But listen up. It might take a while,"
