Chapter 2 Madison Meets Zane, Garroth, Dante, and Laurence

Aphmau's POV
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Coming. I called down the stairs. I ran and answered the door. I pulled it open only to see the one person I least expected standing at my door.
Zane!?! I yelled. What are you doing here?!?
I'm running the neighbourhood watch. What can't someone like me be in charge of the safety of others.
You're up to something. I know it. I said.
Hey now. That's not fair. I just want to become a productive member of society. Now I am indeed in charge of the neighbourhood watch and I would just like you to know that if you have any problems you can report them to someone who cares who is not me. Have a great day hehehe. He said.
Madison's POV
I was listening to music when I heard a knock on my door. I walked towards my front door and pulled it open thinking it was Aphmau. But instead a boy with black hair covering one of his blue eyes stood at my door. He wore a sweater that covered his mouth. Oh no. I was never good at talking to people. Especially not boys.

At first he was looking over at the house across the street. I think it belongs to a group of boys named Garroth, Dante, and Laurence...I think
Um...hi.
He turned to face me and he stopped at first he didn't say anything. Then...
Um...H-hi. My name is Z-zane. I'm in charge of the
n-neighbourhood watch.
Hi. It's..um..nice to...uh...meet you...Zane. My name is M-Madison.
Um...it's...nice to meet you...uh...too...Madison. If you...uh...have any problems. Let me know.

I finally managed to get out one sentence without stuttering. Sometimes I really hated being antisocial. It really sucked sometimes. It made simple things like talking to people hard.
Zane turned around and started to walk away. I looked over at the house across the street. I closed my front door and walked into my kitchen. Maybe I should go meet my other neighbors. I mean...I met Aphmau and that turned out pretty well. What could go wrong? I just have to try not to stutter so much.
I grabbed a glass and poured some water into it. After I finished drinking it I decided to take a chance and go meet my other neighbors. I opened the door and walked across the street. I walked up to the house and knocked on the door. I took a deep breath.
You can do this Madison. You're antisocial. So what? Just be yourself. Just talk in normal sentences and don't stutter. Your parents would want you to overcome this. Even if they won't be here to see it. You can do this.
Just then the door opened knocking me out of my thoughts.
Hi. I'm Garroth.
Hi. I'm Madison. I'm your new neighbor. I live across the street.
Nice to meet you Madison. Here come on in and you can meet my roommates.
Sure. Thank you.
He walked off to find his friends and I was left alone with my thoughts again...
I did it. I talked without stuttering. I spoke in a complete SENTENCE. I did it. Mom and Dad. They would be proud. I wish they were here. I miss them a lot. But I'm so happy right now. I can't believe I did it!!
Just then Garroth appeared again. This time with two other boys behind him.

Laurence
I'm back.
Hi. I'm Laurence.
And I'm Dante.
Hi. I'm Madison. I live across the street. Nice to meet you guys.
Wait. across the street? You live with Aphmau?
No. I live next door to her.
That's pretty cool.
Yeah. Have you met Aphmau and her friends?
I've met Aphmau and Katelyn is my cousin but I haven't met Kawaii-Chan.
You're in for a surprise then. Kawaii-Chan is kind of strange.
That's what I've heard. Katelyn has told me Kawaii-Chan is a major fan girl.
She is.
Yeah.
Definitely.
Well I actually have to start job hunting so I will see you guys later. It was nice meeting all of you.

Oh maybe Aphmau will have an idea for a job I can get. I should go and visit her and Katelyn. I could meet

Dante: Now Katelyn has Aphmau pinned to the ground and it looks like she's yelling at her "If you ever sing that song to me again I'll eat all your food in the fridge."
Laurence: You really have quite the imagination Dante.
Dante: Now Katelyn is making Aphmau kiss Aaron.
Garroth and Laurence:WHAT?!?

Madison:*blushing* People just normally don't invite me to parties.

Dante:I can't believe it!
Laurence: This is so unfair!!
Madison: Leave him alone. It's not a big deal.
Aphmau: I agree with Madison. He's a nice guy.
