Chapter 20 Lucinda's Love Potion

Madison's POV
I was standing in the kitchen. I was really nervous. What if I do something stupid? Who am I kidding? This is me. Of course I'm going to do something stupid! Okay. I need to calm down. Just then there was a knock on the door. I took a deep breath and walked back into the living room. It was too crowded for me to see where Travis was. Slowly everyone walked out the door and I was left standing in the room with him. He was wearing a tux. He looked handsome. I felt my heart beating faster. I blushed.
Travis: Um...I must look good because you're just completely speechless.

Travis's POV
I knocked on the door. Aphmau opened the door.
Aphmau: Hey Guys. Come on in.
We all walked in and everyone grabbed their date and walked out. I had a great plan for the evening. It was crowded and I couldn't see Madison. When the room cleared out the only ones left were me and Madison. I stared at her. She looked beautiful. I always thought she looked beautiful but she looked amazing right now. She looked up at me. Oh crap I'm staring. Okay. Don't panic say something cool.
I looked down at the ground feeling myself blushing.
Travis: Um...I must look good because you're just completely speechless.
Why did I say that?! I meant to say something cool not something stupid.
Madison: You do...I mean you look nice...I mean you look handsome. I mean...I'm just gonna stop talking.
I laughed.
Travis: No. It's okay. You're funny.
She smiled and we walked out of the house and I led the way to the place where our group date would begin.

Madison's POV
We stepped into the arcade. Cadenza recommended taking a bathroom break. All the girls expect me and Aphmau followed her. Lucinda yelled "Yay. We're gonna get crunk up in the bathroom. "
Aaron: Shouldn't you two be going to the bathroom party.
Aphmau: I know what happens in there. I'm not going.
Madison: I have a feeling I'm better off staying here.
Aphmau: Good idea.
I walked farther into the arcade and looked around.
Travis: What do you want to do?
Madison: I don't know. There's so much to do here.
Travis: Why don't we play air hockey? You used to play it all the time back in high school.
I smiled. I can't believe he remembers that.
Madison: Yeah I did. Sure we can do that.
We walked over to the air hockey table. The buzzer sounded and the game started. This will be fun...
Third Person POV:
Meanwhile:
Katelyn: I'm not nervous!!
Nicole: Yes you are. You always get nervous on dates.
Katelyn: Ugh. Fine.
Lucinda: I did bring this for Aphmau but you can use it Katelyn.
Katelyn: Is that a potion?!
Lucinda: It's a love potion just in case Aphmau had trouble with Aaron.
Katelyn: Lucinda if you give that to Aphmau I will murder you!
Lucinda: Jeez. Fine. I won't.
They all walked out of the bathroom to join the others. Lucinda crept away from them and poured some of the love potion into a cup. She walked over and handed it to Aphmau.
Lucinda: Here Aphmau you look thirsty.
Aphmau: Oh. Thanks Lucinda.
Lucinda walked off and watched from a distance as Aphmau was about to drink it. Then Madison walked up to her.
Madison: Hey Aphmau. You having fun?
Aphmau: Yeah. Travis did good planning this. You look tired. Want some of my drink?
Madison: No! That's okay! It's yours! I don't want to take it from you!
Aphmau: it's fine. Here.
Aphmau handed her the drink.
Madison: Thanks Aphmau.
Aphmau: You're welcome.
Madison drank the potion. For a few seconds nothing happened. Then Madison smiled.
Madison: Thanks Aphmau. I'm gonna go find Travis.
Aphmau: Okay.
Madison walked off to look for Travis. She found him standing beside a PacMan Machine.
Madison: Hey Travis.
Travis: Hey Madison. What are you doing?
Madison: Oh Nothing. I just came to see you.
Travis: Huh?
Madison: I came to see you silly.
Travis looked away from the PacMan Machine and stared at her. She smiled at him.
Travis: You're acting strange.
Madison: What do you mean?
Travis: You never just come to talk to me. Normally it's me coming to talk to you.
Madison: That doesn't matter. I'm perfectly fine.
Travis: Sure...
She took I step forward so they were standing a few inches apart. She smirked.
Madison: What can't I just come to see you?
Travis: Yeah but....I'll be right back.

Third Person Pov
Travis knew something was wrong with Madison. She was always so shy, quiet, and nervous. She was acting strange and he was going to find out why. Just then Lucinda ran up to him and told him about the potion and how she had planned to give it to Aphmau but Aphmau had given it to Madison.
Travis: Well how do we break the spell?
Lucinda: She has to see you kiss someone.
Travis: Why?
Lucinda: Because she likes y- I can't tell you why.
Travis: Why not?
Lucinda: Because she should tell you not me. Now go!
Travis: Fine.
Travis walked off and walked around a  corner in the arcade and ran into Michi. He saw Madison standing near the door to the arcade behind them. Just then she turned around and their eyes met. Travis looked at Michi. He really didn't want to do what he was about to do.
Michi: Hey! Watch where you'r-!
Travis cut her off and kissed her....

Madison's POV
I stopped. Travis just kissed Michi.... Right in front of me...
Why does this hurt so much?
I turned around and ran out the door. I didn't know where I was going at first. But it didn't surprise me where I ended up. I sat down on the edge of a fountain in an old abandoned park. It was the old park Travis and I used to come to when we were in high school. The sun was almost gone and the stars were starting to come out. It would be dark soon but at the moment I didn't care. I felt tears begin to slide down my face.
I really did fall for him. Didn't I? Why was I so stupid? Why did I ever think he would like me? I'm just an antisocial loser....
I sat there watching the sun fade until it was completely dark. Then I just sat and looked up at the stars...
