Prologue

"I love you Mackenzie... I'm not gonna deny it anymore. And to be honest, I fell really hard." Ryder said, holding his girlfriend's hand, "You're the only one I want to be with...I don't know, it's just, every time we're together, I'm just on cloud nine. I know we only dated for like a week but, I can't hide it anymore. I really do love you."

"I love you too." She smiled, giving him a soft peck on the lips.

"This girl is really something else...I can't believe I can call her mine," he thought.

~~~~~ A month later ~~~~~

"Haha, what are you staring at?" she asked laughing, catching her boyfriend stare at her.

"I'm just staring at my girlfriend's beautiful face...what's the crime in that?" He asked back.

She tried to hide the blush that was visible on her tan cheeks "I'm not beautiful." She denied. They were both cuddled together on Mackenzie's bed as she spoke. "But, thank you." She kissed his cheek and buried her face into his neck comfortably.

"You're the most beautiful girl I know, babe."

"That's not true. You've seen plenty other girls who look better than me." She insisted.

"Hey." He held her chin up gently so they were both looking into each others eyes, "Nothing's gonna change my opinion...you're beautiful and if someone needs to point it out to you I'd be happy to do it."

She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder,"I love you..." she mumbled, as she slowly drifted to sleep.

~~~~~ A month later ~~~~~

"Happy 2 month anniversary, baby." he said kissing her cheek from behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Oh shit, I'm so sorry I totally forgot," she admitted apologetically.

"Haha it's cool, you have more important things on your mind."

"No I don't. Ugh, I'm so sorry."

"Babe, really it's okay. Don't worry about it." He insisted kissing her cheek. "At least you know now right?"

She smiled and kissed his cheek back,"Happy anniversary then." She turned around so she was facing his direction and pressed her lips against his.

"Mackenzie?" he asked walking into her house.

"In my room!" she replied.

Once he walked in, he smiled at the sight of the love of his life sitting on her bed, "Hey beautiful." He said giving her a peck on the lips and sitting down next to her.

"Hey babe...look I need to tell you something..." she told.

"Um...okay?" He said but it sounded like somewhat a question.

"I asked a bunch of my friends what to do..." Her brown eyes were looking in every direction except his.

"Mackenzie what's wrong?" He asked worry building up in his chest.

She bit her bottom lip and looked Ross in the eyes,"This isn't working..." She said softly tucking some of her curly black hair behind her ear.

The bright smile dropped from his face and a lump formed in his throat,"What..what are you talking about?" His voice cracked and he stood up.

"I don't feel the same way I did before...I just...I don't know the feelings just died and I care about you enough to tell you the truth. I don't want to just lie about-"
