We were scheduled to arrive at the palace at 1:00pm. It was currently 12:53pm. I was listening to music on my phone when I felt the limo stop. I took the headphones out of my ears and looked outside the window. All of the limos were in a huge line leading up to the front of the palace. Whereas Aqae's castle had looked warm and welcoming, Ignia's palace fit the stereotype. It looked very expensive with everything polished. It almost reminded me of a hotel. The mansion house was rectangular and extended far upwards. The first few floors had windows that were scattered, but above that, the windows were evenly spaced. I assumed that that's where our rooms would be. I noticed the glass doors and fake plants. I've never stayed at a five star hotel before, but I was assuming that this building was very close to what one would look like. Since the Royal Banquet was held in Ignia every year, the royal family had a guest palace. They lived in a mansion house about ten minutes away from this hotel-castle.

There were hundreds of limos lined up. When the limo got to the front of the line, where the entrance was, the guest exited the limo with their servants. For a while, I watched people file out and enter the building. The girls were all dressed in beautiful gowns, which made me thought of what they would wear to the ball. It reminded me of the red carpet. The guys all wore dress pants and shirts; however, some wore tuxes. I looked down at my outfit in the car. Since we spent the night at a hotel, I had changed. I currently wore dark denim jeans, black and white converse, a black tank top, a gray cardigan, and my black beanie. I was looking forward to seeing everybody's reactions.

The line was taking forever. I wasn't even near the front after half an hour of sitting in the limo. I was getting impatient. "Hey," I hollered up to the driver, "I'm gonna get out now so you don't have to wait in this line anymore, 'kay?"

The driver looked shocked. I'm pretty sure I was the only person to have ever said that. When he didn't respond right away I grabbed my suitcase, opened the door, and started walking towards the entrance. I understand why the other guests had to wait in line. They had two or three servants with them, not to mention a lot of luggage. It looked like they packed for a month, not two days.

I'm pretty sure people were gasping and gawking at me when I walked by their limo. But, I made it to the front of the line in four minutes. As I walked through the glass doors, I was shot weird looks from about everyone, including the servants. The room wasn't too crowded. It was mostly people waiting for their friends to arrive. Most guests, I was assuming, were settling in to their rooms.

The 'lobby' of the mansion was nothing like a typical hotel. On the right, there was a table where you had to check-in and get your room key. However, that's where the similarities stopped. The rest of the room was virtually empty besides a few decorations and fake plants. To the left, there were two staircases that curved up to meet at the next floor. Between the stairs was a statue of a lion. The floors were marble, but the stairs and the upstairs were carpeted. The carpet was red and cream colored with a fancy design that seemed expensive. In front of me, on the last wall, was a door. I thought the door at Aqae was big, but this door was massive. It probably took two men just to open one side.

I started walking towards the check-in, still studying the gigantic wooden door. It looked out of place, yet somehow it pulled the room together.

"Ouch!" I heard a shrill voice yell. "Watch where you're going!"

I turned to look at who spoke. I realized that she was talking to me. I had bumped into her while I was distracted. She was a stick-thin, platinum blonde who wore loads of make-up. She had on a sparkly gold dress, and reminded me of one of Sara's old Barbie dolls.

"I-I'm sorry." I murmured as I walked past with my head down. I didn't want to attract any more attention towards myself.

"Yeah, you better be sorry. How dare you bump into me. Do you know who I am?" Barbie fumed.

"Uh...no?" it came out as a question, and sounded weak. Damn me for sounding intimidated. She couldn't hurt me.

"Well, then. Looks like your as stupid as you are ugly." she spit out. I heard giggles coming from the other people in the room. She had this evil grin on her face that I wanted to smack right off. I could've too, but I was above that. Still, she was pissing me off. I could feel my heart starting to beat faster; I was fuming.

"Oh, really?" I said, sickeningly sweet. "Who are you then? Or, more importantly, what are you? Let me guess: a bitch? Slut maybe? Whore?" I listed them off of my fingers and stepped closer to her as I spoke. "A spoiled little girl who's more fake than real. Tell me, how much did your boob job cost? Huh, no response. Well then. It looks like you're as stupid as you look."

Once I finished and was in her face, I turned around. I smirked at the shocked faces of everyone. While I was talking, the whole room went quite and watched. I casually strolled to the desk where I got my room key, a map of the house, and a schedule from the check-in workers. Then, I walked up the stairs. By the time I was walking down the hallway, I could hear hushed whispers. I had no doubt that they were about me. I shrugged. I didn't come here to make friends. I came here because I had to. At first, I was just going to try to get through it under the radar. But now, now I'm going to have fun, and maybe cause a little trouble. They all live pampered lives; they're used to having everybody wait on them. Not me. I want to give these spoiled rich kids a wake up call.
