Waking up slowly is always nice, but waking up slowly while wrapped in Karlie's arms is something else entirely. It's a position that Taylor's used to finding herself in but that doesn't make this moment any less special. Her cheek is pressed against Karlie's chest, which is slowly rising and falling with every breath the model takes. It's a soothing motion, and Taylor knows that if she tried she could go back to sleep easily. She lays there for a short time, reveling in the tranquility that's resting over the quiet bedroom. It's a nice change from the chaos of last night. Sunshine is trying to peak through the closed blinds and Taylor has no idea what time it is. She doesn't particularly care, either. She's surprised that she's the first to wake, since Karlie's usually the early riser between the two of them. Her girlfriend's always waking up at ungodly hours to meet with her personal trainer or go for a jog around the block. It's baffling.
She drifts off again.
The cats wake her up the second time around. They're both meowing loudly and Taylor reluctantly opens her eyes, her eyelashes fluttering against the bare skin of Karlie's collarbone. She's so comfortable that she considers doing the unspeakable; ignoring her cats. She doesn't, of course, and ends up moving away from Karlie. The model's hold on her tightens instinctively but Taylor keeps pulling away, knowing that Karlie's body will give up eventually. Taylor untangles their legs and then pushes the blanket off of her.
Karlie's grumbling but Taylor knows she'll stay asleep. Sure enough, she rolls over onto Taylor's side of the bed, wraps an arm around Taylor's pillow, and falls back into her deep slumber. Taylor smiles at the sight and then pads over to where Olivia and Meredith are sitting. She picks up their empty bowls and then decides that it's safe enough for them to follow her downstairs while she fills their water bowls.
Both cats follow her closely as she quietly slips out of the bedroom. Olivia brushes against Taylor's ankles while Meredith stays two steps behind. They have to pass by the living room on the way to the kitchen, and Taylor can't help but pause to peek into the room. The sunlight is freely shining in but the seven Kloss boys are all knocked out cold. Two of them are sprawled out on the couch and loveseat while the others are laying in a tangled nest of sheets, blankets and pillows on the floor. It's actually a little cute.
Olivia, being the little explorer she is, ventures further into the room and heads straight for the sleeping bodies on the floor. Taylor softly calls her back, trying to keep her voice down. Olivia turns around and then looks back at the boys, torn between what to do.
"You get over here right now Olivia!" Taylor whisper-yells.
Olivia doesn't listen. She hops on one of the boy's chests and stares down at him as if he's some kind of weird species that she's never seen before. It'd be funny if Taylor wasn't afraid of her cat starting trouble. Olivia flits from boy to boy, curiously eyeing each one. She even jumps onto the couch, where Brandon is sprawled out, and softly paws at his face. It's a wonder he doesn't wake up.
"We're leaving you Olivia." Taylor makes a show of turning on her heel and walking out, hoping Olivia will see that she's being left behind and follow. Meredith, who isn't the least bit interested in messing with the boys, follows behind Taylor.
Taylor goes about filling the water bowls, dropping an ice cube in each one. She's about to venture back upstairs when one of Karlie's cousins comes shuffling into the kitchen. Taylor eyes him, trying to match the face to a name. She concludes that it's Christian. He's the second youngest and has been, more or less, one of the quieter boys. He looks half asleep but has Olivia in his little arms, holding her to his chest like she's the most precious thing in the world.
He looks up at Taylor, as if forgetting that she was even staying in the same house as him, and then he just...stands there. He doesn't speak or move a muscle, just stands and stares.
