Kay's POV
Okay Maria got sick from her capture. She's been stuck in bed for two days now with a high fever and an upset stomach. Either it's from her capture or she has taken home sickness to a whole new level. Anyway she told me to check the garage for some spare parts so she can tinker.
I opened the garage to see entire shelves filled with boxes of spare parts. There was also a large tarp draped over something. I grew curious and pulled the tarp off. Underneath was a beautiful, turbo power, top of the line, 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse that was white and blue. "Woah," I gasped.
When did this get here? Maybe Maria'll know. I exited the garage and ran up to Maria's room. Knocking she allowed me in with a smile on her face. "Did you know about the Bugatti Veyron down in the garage?"
She nodded, "Happy birthday, Kay."
I gaped at her, "You got me a car that expensive..."
"Well no. My whole family got it for you and managed to send copies of the real one back home to all these dimensions. I check the garage before I got sick and found it. With your birthday coming up here I just had to surprise you with it."
"You guys are the best!" I shouted happily. Then I remembered about what's coming up soon. "Hey Maria? Is it okay if I go to the races?"
"Only if you wear a helmet. "
"You know I will." I grinned.
"Well then go. Optimus is coming over soon to take me to base."
"Yeah but what about school?"
She rolled her eyes. "I mean go get to school then peel out of there before the bots get you to go with them to base." Oh right, I mentally facepalm. "You just be safe."
"I'm always safe."
"Ha yeah right." She laughed. I smiled grabbing my bag after leaving her room. I opened the garage door and open the car to find the keys on the dash. I heard the rumble of a semi's engine and looked up to see Optimus pulling up. I waved at him before placing my bag in the car.
"Morning Optimus."
"Good morning, Kay," Optimus greeted. "Who does the car belong to?"
"Me. Maria got it for me with her family a while back and kept it a surprise until I turned 18." I grinned happily.
"You are going to be driving around in it after school, aren't you?" I nodded in confirmation. "Just be safe. I'll tell the others you won't come to base afterwards. And Kay, Happy Creation day."
"Thanks Optimus." I chuckled slightly at his term of creation instead of birth. I opened the car door and backed out of the driveway. I then went down the street to the school. I pulled up and parked. I was receiving stares as I got out with my bag slung over my shoulder. The kids came over with jaws dropped.
"Kay where did you get this?" Jack asked.
"Maria's family bought it for me for when I turned 18."
"Wait today is your Birthday. Girl, why didn't you tell us?" Miko asked with her hands on her hips.
"Honestly I forgot." I brought my voice low. "Remember I'm from another dimension where time is different. Yeah so technically I'm still 17 there but 18 here."
"That's confusing." Raf shook his head.
"Yep." I nodded in agreement.

****time skip 7:00 pm*****

School was different with everyone admiring my car. I finished all of my homework before heading out for the race. I pulled up an hour early and pulled my helmet on as people made sure everything would go smoothly. Some guys whistled at my car as I leaned against it. Finally they announced for the cars to pull up to the starting line.
That's when KO showed up. Parked between me and the jerk who'd scratch his paint. The jerk wasn't in his car right now because he was flirting with me. "Nice car, babe. But a lady shouldn't be driving something like this allow me to show you..."
"You think that'll get me to like you as if. Now bug outta here before I punch you." I threatened. He growled as I climbed back into it and went to the front where he took his ring and scratch the paint. "Fragger."
He climbed into his car and did the same to KO's door. I shifted gears as the guy in front turned on the flashlight to tell us to go. All of us hit the gas and the jerk took the lead with KO and I behind him. Once he was far enough away, KO gunned it and I shifted gears and swiftly caught up. KO rear ended him and forced him off the road on a sharp turn. I pulled to a stopped just as KO peeled out of there. But before he left he shouted, "if you want that scratch fixed follow me."
I knew he was good at making things look good on cars but he really wanted to fix that scratch. I ended up following slightly curious as he pulled to a cliff with no road. I climbed out after shutting off my car. He had his holoform on with a small buffer in hand. He came to the front and buffed away the scratch and the paint that was peeled away was there again like it was never scratched. "Nice," I state.
"Guy doesn't understand how much work is takes to keep these cars looking brand new." KO grumbled.
"No but karma is a bitch." I nodded.
"Hey what's your name?" He asked.
"Kay Saber Storm. You?"
"People call me, Knockout."
"Well see you later, Knockout." I waved as he got into his car and drove away. I did the same and drove home. I pulled up into the house and opened the garage. I took off my helmet and looked at the tinted glass that covered my face. "Stupid, stupid, stupid." I berated myself and hit my head.
I heard the garage door to the house creak open and turned to face Maria, who came out. "Hey what happened?"
"Besides the fact that I raced with a con, got hit on by a creep, and said creep scratching the car and said con fixing it, nothing happened." I face palmed.
"Wow that bad huh?"
"Yep. What about you? You seem to be feeling better." I observed.
"Been okay since 11:00 yesterday. Come on inside."
"Wait you were. You could have gone to school today."
She smiled. "Thing is school don't start till 8:00. Kay, it's 2:00 in the morning."
"WHAT!" I yelled at looked at the clock.
"Yep. Come on let's get to bed." She turned back to go inside.
I sighed and got out to follow her. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
