Whenever Namjoon broke something, Yoongi fixed it. Whether it be a pair of sunglasses, the washing machine or the engine on his car, Yoongi was always there, picking up the broken pieces and finding some way to stick them back together.

The only thing Yoongi couldn't put back together were the shattered fragments of Kim Seokjin's heart.

It happened every Saturday, Jin knocking on Yoongi's door at 3:00 in the morning. And just like every other Saturday, today Yoongi hurried to let the older boy in.

This time, however, Jin was soaked to his bones. It had been raining heavily since noon. Jin wasn't careless enough to simply forget about taking an umbrella, he must have rushed out of there so quick he didn't even notice the pouring rain.

"Hyung what-" Yoongi started but Jin's dead voice stopped him.
"Can I come in?"
"Of course, but- just- I mean- change into some warm clothes hyung."

As Yoongi handed Jin his baggiest clothes, he pondered over the situation. Namjoon was cheating on Seokjin. He has been, for the last 6 months or so. Every weekend with almost scheduled timing, he'd go meet a boy and they's fuck each other senseless. What Namjoon didn't know was that Jin had been aware from the very beginning.

And so the cycle never ended: Namjoon would cheat, Yoongi would comfort Jin, Jin would forgive Namjoon, Namjoon would cheat and so on.

Yoongi came to hate Saturdays. The broken look Jin gave him every time he opened the door was like a hand that pulled at his heart. When Jin would cry in his arms was like the hand was gripping his heart tighter and tighter until Yoongi was sure one day it would burst.

Yoongi came to hate Namjoon as well. Their small circle of friends came together on Thursdays in a nearby café. Namjoon and Jin would be the last ones to arrive, usually with Namjoon's arm wrapped around Jin's waist and Jin's face in a smile that would make Yoongi's day and break it.

Yoongi didn't get why anyone would let go of an angel, and the fact that this asshole did was enough for Yoongi's blood to boil and for him to forgo the past 3 years of their friendship.

"Yoongi-ah" Jin snapped Yoongi from his thoughts, exiting the bathroom.
"Hyung"
Jin's eyes were watery and his shoulders slumped. His face was devoid of the warmth Yoongi treasured.

The shorter boy sighed and opened his arms in an invitation that the older one didn't hesitate to accept, barreling into Yoongi with a force that nearly knocked both of them off their feet.

Jin's shoulders shakes in quiet sobs and Yoongi could feel the invisible hand squeezing his heart yet again. He had offered to beat Namjoon's ass several times but for some reason, Jin always begged Yoongi not to, frustrating the younger to no ends.

"You don't deserve this shit" Yoongi muttered once Jin was still.
"Just dump him" He spat, venom lacing his voice and his fists clenched into fists. He had hated anyone hurting Jin since they were kids. He used to punch anyone who called him pig and kick anyone who dared smack him. He once beat a man half to death that tried forcing himself on Jin, only stopping from killing him because Jin intervened.

"I love him" Jin answered after a long pause.
"But why?" Yoongi's voice cracked. Why did he stay when all that awaited him was sadness? Why did he stay when all he held onto was a boy that broke everything he touched?

Jin looked away, choosing instead to grab a blanket from Yoongi's pile of spare ones on top of a drawer.
"Can I take the couch?"
"Of course" Yoongi answered, defeated. He had, -on multiple times- offered the bed but every time, Jin refused.

Before Jin could turn his back, Yoongi grabbed either side of his face, scanning his eyes. The only thing that stared back was the glassy reflection of himself.

Yoongi sighed one more time before placing his lips on Jin's forehead, his temples, his cheeks.
"Go then" Yoongi let go, nodding in the direction on the couch.

"Yoongi-ah" Jin called back one last time. For some reason, Yoongi was hesitant to reply, a bad feeling pooling in his stomach.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry"
Yoongi sucked in a breath, knowing that whatever came next would change everything.
"For what?"
"Not loving you back the way you love me"

The next Saturday, at 3:00 in the morning, there was no knock on Yoongi's door.
