"Wokou!"

After the first shout, the ship turned to chaos, soldiers streaming out of the cabins half dressed and barely awake, but they had no time to collect their bearings. They were under attack.

Pirates slung from ropes onto the military vessel in an attempt to commandeer the ship. Or slaughter everyone on it. They brandished spadroons and small swords and howled like animals in savagery, merciless and cold-hearted, cutting through the unprepared ranks of navy soldiers as if they were grass.

Namjoon watched in horror as his crew fell under the brutal attack, drawing his sword and prepared to defend his people with his life, which was his first mistake. He stormed into the midst of battle, engaging in combat with one of the Wokou. His skill with the sword was renown throughout the Kingdom, and he cut down the menace quickly and almost effortlessly, moving to the next.

Had he chosen to call for help, perhaps what happened next would not have been, but it was, and as Namjoon wove through the sea of fighting, he unknowingly walked into the intended trap, his battles leading him to the back of the deck, where a pirate cut through the ship's rigging and it fell down on him, caging him underneath rope with his sword hand twisted behind his back.

"Would'cha look at that? I think our little princess is awake"

Namjoon groaned, his vision swimming and his hearing out of focus. He felt disoriented and mildly nauseous, but he didn't have time to ponder on it as he was hauled to his feet.

He could barely remember what had happened, and his head was pounding, but the men dragged him through the inside of an unfamiliar ship until he reached a metal door and one of the buffoons holding him knocked roughly on it.

"Cap'n the, uh... the prisoner's awake" said the other one, fumbling with his belt even though no one could see him. Pathetic thought Namjoon, throwing a look of disgust at the man.

At the same time, he felt reluctant to meet the so-called "captain" of the pirate ship. The one that inspired fear into the crew member's hearts snorted Namjoon, receiving a glare from the man at his left, while the right pushed forward after hearing some order that Namjoon couldn't be bothered to pay attention to.

The room wasn't particularly spacious, but it was impressive, adorned with a wooden square table, with a map of the Eastern Seas splayed on it, 4 chairs at either side of it. There was a door at the far end of the room that probably led to the quarterdeck, and a window that stared into the ocean. But the impressive part could be debated on whether it was the solid gold chests that lined the room almost mockingly, or the two men standing in the middle of the cabin.

Namjoon's gaze immediately turned to the taller one as soon as the two guards left, who was dressed in black breeches and a tight fitting white shirt. His hair was brown and fell into his eyes and his posture was straight, speaking of authority and a figure that commanded respect.

Namjoon nodded to the man, paying no attention to the smaller one, and bowed to the man as a show of mock-compromise -even though he had none for the scum of his kind, but he really didn't want his head chopped off before he had a chance to save it-. "Captain" he said, his mouth drawn into a tight line when he righted himself.

"Ah, Seokjin-hyung," the other man said, stepping closer to Namjoon and the other backed away instinctively. "Why does this always happen?" The man pouted and Namjoon stared in confusion, his eyes flickering between the two.

"You smile too much, Captain" the taller -Seokjin?- smirked, taking a step back. Namjoon's eyes widened in realization, but he quickly gained his composure and stared at the other man.
