I woke up about four hours later when I heard Spencer whisper with what I’m guessing is Derek.

“Kid, I see you finally took a page out of my book.”, Derek whispered.

I heard Spencer sigh and say,

“Not exactly, I really like Carrie and I want her around for some time and you wouldn’t make a serious relationship out of it would you?”

Derek chuckled and said, “I guess not, good job anyway, kid.”

I smiled and moved around slightly before resettling myself and placing my legs on his lap and opening my eyes. I yawned and stretched before looking at Derek and saying,

“Hey Derek, have a nice nap?”

he smiled and messed up my hair saying, “Sure did, shortcake.”

I frowned and looked at Spencer with a confused look before taking my phone out and snapping a shot of the duo. Derek laughed but Spencer just shook his head and hugged me to him.

I put my phone away and rearranged my dress so I didn’t have any mishaps and turned to Spencer saying, “So, where are you from originally?”

We spent the next couple of hours getting to know each other better and I learned he was from Vegas, graduated at 14, has 3 PhDs, and loves to play chess.

When we landed we went straight to the headquarters set out for us and I was paired with Emily to go talk to the families. It all went well except for a mother braking down while Emily comforted her but we efficiently handled the situation and we went back to the office where they were waiting for us.

I plopped down next to Spencer and said,

“Well the families have no idea how this happened, the girls were star students and they hung out with the right crowd.”

“Well, they could have been living a double life, no?”, Rossi questioned.

I nodded and we discussed it while Spencer went over to the board and tried to put together the pieces to who our unsub was.

A few days later the case had been solved and we were back on the plane headed for Quantico.

We repeated a similar process on the plane on the way back but Spencer and I spent a lot more time together as he and I began to plan our date since he didn’t have a clue what we should do which in all honesty I thought was freaking adorable.

When we got back to the station the girls hugged me good bye and Derek teased us before I said good bye to Hotch and Rossi and Spencer asked,

“Do you need a ride home?”

I smiled and nodded saying, “That would be very much appreciated.”

He chuckled and took my hand in his before leading me out to his car.

When he left me at my door step he said, “S-so I’ll pick you up tomorrow?”

I grinned and kissed his cheek and said, “I’ll be waiting for you here at exactly six ‘o clock."

I flounced up to the door of the building and waved before going inside and greeting the doorman, “Hey Henry!”

“Hello Ms. Mayer!”, the older man responded.

I grinned and got on the elevator and pressed the number up for my apartment. The next day I ran around all over the place trying to clean up a bit and called my best friend from home Taylor and told her,

“Taylor! I have a date and I don’t have a clue what to wear!”

My friend laughed over the line and said, “Alright hun, do you remember that dress we bought for you when it was going to be your cousin's wedding?”

“Yeah! Taylor! You’re a genius!”, I exclaimed before we chatted briefly before we hung up and I began to get ready.

At six on the dot there was a knock on the door and I excitedly swung it open to reveal Spencer in some dress pants paired with a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and a purple tie that matched my dress perfectly and a vase full of pink roses.

I smiled and took the vase from his hands and placing it on a table near the door and I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him before saying,

“The roses are beautiful and I like a man who can be punctual.”

He hugged me tightly and said, “Well you did set a time, how could I disregard it?”

I laughed and pulled away and kissed his cheek before inviting him in. we had about half an hour before we needed to be at our dinner reservations and I wanted to get Spencer a tad tipsy but not over the top, just for him to loosen up.

He sat on my orange couch and I took my roses to the kitchen to give them water and I called from the kitchen, “Would you like some wine?”

“Uhhh, sure.” he answered hesitantly. I smiled and brought down two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine and poured two cups before walking out with one I each hand. I handed him one and he took it in his hand and looked at it before taking a sip.

I smiled at his cuteness and took a sip of mine before we chatted.

Afterwards we got in his car and he drove us to our restaurant.

The date went great, he was the perfect gentleman and he was a great companion, he was open with me and answered all of my questions.

When he dropped me off I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought him down as I stood on my tippy toes and pressed my lips to his. He hesitantly responded but he wrapped his arms around my waist brining me closer to him as we kissed.

When we pulled apart he said,

“Can I spend the night, we won't do anything, just I don’t want to be alone tonight.”

I kissed him again and said, “I would really like that.”

I smiled and pulled him into my apartment by his tie before he closed the door behind us.

“Ok, I’ll be right back, I’m just going to change and you can take off your tie and things.” I said as I walked to my room.He nodded and sat down and began to loosen his tie up.

I smiled and walked into my room and quickly changed into a band t-shirt and a pair of Victoria’s Secret sweat pants before walking out and finding Spencer right outside my door. I looked at him and he leaned down to kiss me tenderly and I lead him into my room and he laid me gently down on the mattress.

When we pulled away he took off his shirt and pants but he still wore an undershirt and his boxers and he quickly dived under my covers where I was waiting for him. He looked down and said,

“I know I’m not the most fit guy bu-”

I cut him off swiftly with a kiss and I said,

“That doesn’t matter to me, I care about how you treat yourself and me.”

He grinned and kissed me before saying, “You’re so gorgeous, I’m so lucky you chose me.”

I rolled my eyes and said, “Spence, you're such a gentleman, how could i not like you?”

He shook his head but we kissed instead of continuing the conversation. The rest of the night we spent watching Netflix and commenting on certain aspects of the film that were not quite accurate.

That night I had the best night’s sleep I had had since I was back at my Dad’s huge house down in Texas.

My dad was the owner of an oiling company that was huge in Texas and I was raised in a wealthy family so I had a lot of things in my closet but that was never really important to me.
