They were trudging along in silence, it was very awkward for Laurence, he was behind her. Laurence was arguing with himself in his head, "How could you be so stupid Laurence, you shouldn't have asked Aphmau to leave that was so stupid. She could have died... I could have died." Aphmau stopped, Laurence almost ran into her. "Laurence..." She paused, " I know we've had this conversation before but, I hope you know why I didn't kiss you." She said. "At first I didn't realize but then I tracked back before I blacked out," Laurence answered "You said you didn't want to leave me because last time you did that you never saw them again." Laurence was looking at the ground, Aphmau was facing away from him. "I was talking about Garroth and the deal we made about two and your feelings toward me." Aphmau was now looking at Laurence. "Yes--but also in that deal if he didn't make his move I would, that was a deal made me and him. With him gone in the Irean dimension our deal stands m'lady." Laurence bowed and looked up at her with a goofy smile which lightened Aphmau's mood. "Even at the darkest time you still know how to crack a smile." Aphmau said as she laughed. The two froze and listened they heard bells in the distance. Laurence stood up and said "Metele bells, they only ring them if there is a threat!" We better move..." said Aphmau.
