Pain (Punk Niall)

Chapter 1

The banging of the head board hits against the thin wall of my mothers bed room. I knew it was coming from there. It certainly wasn't coming from Miss Coyles next door, but I'm sure the 80 something neighbour could hear every pant and bang as clearly as I could.

You'd wonder how I stick this. What else can I do. My mother is a 40 year old cougar who has probably had more toyboys in the last few weeks than I have kisses in my entire life.

And at 17 that's not many.

I'm surprised really to be woken by the noises. Usually she'd have the decency to have the 20 year old she was most likely with take her to his place. Unless he doesn't have a place. Then she'd defiantly hit a low point.

The funny thing is, is when I go down for breakfast the next morning, he'll either be there or left in the early mornings. When he's there I feel awkward and some what strange to be siting across from someone only a few years older than me and knowing they'd just had sex with my mother.

But who cares. I'd never speak to them anyway, none of them. No matter how many there have been. And after they've left my mother doesn't speak about them at all. It's just another name whipped off her list.

That's one thing I've got of my mother, her obsession with lists. Although mines used for practical uses. Mine would have a list of books, movies and maybe new tv program's to watch. Hers would be a new push up bra her friend told her about, or maybe a new thong. Another thing I've taken after her is her stubbornness and when we fight, it's never good for that reason.

It does annoy me that my 40 year old mother acts younger than her 17 year old daughter. But I never say anything, because like the large amount of men that comes home with her, I don't speak to her either.
