LAST TIME IN CHAPTER 8:

(Erza POV)

I suddenly got the feeling like we were being watched and I let my eyes scan as far as I could from my position until my eyes landed on a familiar figure.

I swear that my heart stopped beating, that I stopped breathing as my eyes widened in shock from what I was seeing hiding behind a tree.

The figure's eyes met mine as we both looked at each other with complete and total shock.

If this was a dream, I wanted to wake up. Now.

It was Lucy...

💖 Lucy's POV 💖

Today felt like a good day. The sun was shining and I woke up feeling better than I had in a while. Maybe that was because I didn't drink much last night...heh...

"Lu-chan you're weirding me out with that wild smile of yours." Levy said as she giggled a bit.

"Oh, sorry Levs, I just feel happy today." I said and giggled too.

"Well I'm glad about that." She said and side hugged me.

I hugged her back and then sipped on my strawberry milkshake that Mira had made. I haven't had one in a while so it tastes gross and weird but also wonderful and delicious at the same time. Weird right?

I didn't have my crutches anymore but I still had a brace on my leg but it allowed me to move easier so it hardly felt like it was there, though I wasn't allowed to run with it on since it wasn't made to move that much.

But over all I was better, still a bit awkward with Erza and all though..

But we'll figure it out and soon the awkwardness will go away, most likely when I was fully recovered since she wouldn't have to keep being reminded of what happened when she looked at me.

"Hey can you help me with translating a spell?" Freed asked as he walked up to us, but he was looking at Levy.

"But didn't we just do one a few weeks ago?" Levy asked him.

"Yes.. But this one is for my own personal use. I happened to come across it the other day but I haven't had much luck with translating it so I would be grateful if you could assist me." He said and smiled a bit.

"I'll help but only if you buy me a new book later." She said with a slight smirk.

"Levs you're so mean." I said and laughed a little as I nudged her playfully.

"I gotta get something out of it right?" She said and laughed some too.

"That's fine by me." Freed answered with a nod.
