Inside one of man's many books there is a story of a war between the light and dark. It said that the war was long and bloody with tragic loses on both sides. The dark with there overweening numbers, and the light with there far superior warriors. After centuries of blood shed the light won out against the dark, but the cost was to great for them. After the dark was sealed in their own fortresses never to see the light of day again. The light retreted to there home land to rest, and rebuild. But the darkness had a fail safe, and when its released the dark will walk the earth again. And this time they will not be stopped by the light.

But every story is like a coin, there's a heads and a tails. On one side is the victors story about how they braved through the hardships. The other it the full, and complete truth. There is a popular saying that says, "never judge a book by its cover". The same could be said about people "never juge a person by what you see".

1484, March 24

The wind wiped across my face as I flew across the earth. It was beautiful and peaceful up in the white clouds. I had a rare moment of bliss as I soared. But it was quickly diminished by the sound of wings behind me. I stole a quick glance at where the sound came from. Hundreds of angles in glistening battle armor flew behind me.

I looked ahead again preparing for what is to come. Remembering the speech I gave before this suicidal battle.

"This pointless and bloody war has gone on long enough." I roared to the crowd that gathered around me. All of them looked like they haven't slept for years.

"Today we will end it, but we will not end it for ourselves. We will end it for the ones we have lost. We will end it for our families, our friends, our people. We will not let them suffer anymore from these demons. I will not guarantee your return, but I will guarantee that your death will be remembered. It will be remembered by our children, and our children's children, and there children after that."

When I finished they seemed to have a little more life than before. But I knew it wasn't enough yet. 'Come on' I thought.

"I swear by my sword and by my soul that you will not be forgotten. So I say this fight, till your hands blister. Fight till your sword and shield shatter to pieces. Fight till you kill every single one of the demons that have tormented us. And when your hands blister, when your swords brake, when your shields shatter, I swear you will see your family again."

All of them looked up at me when I said this. The light returning to there eyes. 'Just a little more' I said to myself.

"Pick up your swords, your bows, your spears, and your shields. Light the fires with in you and fight. Fight tell you see your family again, fight till you see your people, fight till every last one of the demons are killed."

As I said the last word the crowd roared with renewed vigor. 'That's it' I thought smiling. Then a wild thought came to my head. 'I might add well try it'

"Ad lucem." I yelled at the top of my lungs. "Ad lucem" they roared back.

'For light,' I criticized as I stepped out of my trance 'that's so cliche, but it worked.' As soon as I finished that thought a scout flue up to me.

"Commander the enemy has been spotted" he shouted against the wind. I nod pulled out my sword, and even though I couldn't hear it I knew that every soldier behind me did the same. As we need the sight I dropped from the sky head first. I had another moment of bliss as I fell through the clouds. I wished that the feeling would last forever I knew it wouldn't, but it's still nice to wish it.
