Where I'm from

    It's been more than 200 years since the virus was eradicated. Humanity just got back on our feet and surprisingly we've gotten pretty far. My name is Linsey Johnson, and this is my story.
    So here's the overall. Around 1000 years ago there was this new virus that wiped out 90% of Earth's population. This virus didn't really have a name. But basically it turned people into zombies. But after 800 years, humans survived and all the zombies starved and decayed. My family in that time survived. When the virus first hit, they lived on the east coast of America in an ancient land called Pencilvanna. But, somehow they got a small plane and flew here, to what used to be Ireland. Now, I live in a new country called "Rose Valley". Here I a member of the Queen's council, kind of like her second in command. We work on helping our people and keeping their needs met.
    Our kingdom has 3 cities. Victoriana, Elizabell, and Sarahville. These cities are all named after the first 3 queens of our kingdom. Victoriana and Elizabell both have around 500,000 people living there, and Sarahville has almost 1 million. I live in Sarahville (the capital). You're probably wondering what the situation is here. Yes, we do have electricity. We are mostly solar powered, but we also get power from wind turbines and hydropower. We have running water and an excess of food. We are probably the best off kingdom on the island.
    We don't have guns now. All of the bullets have been used up and the guns were broken long ago. We also have don't have many cars due to the lack of fossil fuels. Only the upper class can afford electric cars. We do have public transport like trollies. No cellphone either. We use landlines to speak with each other. We don't have your advanced medicine though. We use herbal remedies that our ancestors have used for generations before the eradication.
Our children go to school everyday at our public education centers . They learn from ages 5-18 in co-ed classes, just like you. We don't exactly have religion though. We all believe that when we die, we go to a place that based off our guilt. If we have a lot of guilt in our lives, the place we go is bad. If we don't have guilt, we have a happy afterlife. We have an army and a police force that keep us safe. They are equip with either swords or bows and are highly trained. We are also allied with many neighboring kingdoms.
    And also one more thing, the Queen is dying. Our 74 year old Queen Judith is on her deathbed. The thing is, if the kingdom found out their Queen was dying they would be devastated. So we're trying to keep it quiet until she does pass and the next of kin takes the throne. So now me, being her second in command, is taking over for the time being until her granddaughter Isabel is carinated.
    All is well in the kingdom until one day we received an odd call. A man fell out of the sky in Victoriana, and everyone's looking at me for answers.
