Chapter 2- Boys and Paper Cuts

I was ahead of Jenna. I pushed my board as fast as I could. I looked behind me at Jenna and saw her gaining on me. I turned my head around to see a blob to the right of me. My board was knocked from under my feet and I tumbled onto the pavement

"Are you okay?" A voice said

I looked up to see a kid with brown hair looking down at me questionably

"Yeah I'm fine you didn't run into me or anything" I said rolling my eyes

"The names Jacob, Jacob Sartorius" he said grinning like a mad man

"I could care less who you are" I said whilst rubbing my head

I heard pounding feet behind me and Jenna came running up out of breath

"Jesus. I'm so out of shape" Jenna said while trying to catch her breath

I started examining the damage on my legs and saw a couple of cuts but nothing that major

"I'm really sorry for making you fall off of your board" the Jacob kid said with a smile on his face

"It's all good" I said trying to make this conversation as short as possible

He stuck his hand out, which I gladly took, and helped me up. I looked over at Jenna to see her winking and holding back her laugh. I glared at her and turned to Jacob. He walked over to my Penny board picked  it up and handed it back to me

"Again I'm really sorry" he said

"Seriously it's fine" I said smiling at him

"I've never seen you around here. Are you new" Jenna questioned the kid

"Yeah I just moved in today from Virginia" he replied

I looked at him closely and realized he was a decent looking kid. He noticed I was checking him out and smirked. I rolled my eyes and looked away

"Well we'd better get going Jenna" I urged

Jenna looked back at me and then looked to Jacob

"Bye" she said getting on her board and  skating away

I put my board on the ground, ready to start skating away when I felt a hand wrap around my wrist. I turned around to see Jacob smirking. He leaned close to me to where I could feel his breath on my cheek

"Next time you'll be falling even harder for me" he said smirking

I scoffed and pushed off of the ground. As I skated away, I could here his laugh behind me and I couldn't help but smile. I pushed my legs as fast as I could. In about 3 minutes I had made it to the park

"Took you long enough" Jenna said grinning

I shook my head and made my way closer to her

"Isn't my fault the dipshit kept me behind" I sassily replied

She smiled at me and grabbed my wrist trying to drag me to the swings but pulled away clutching her hand.

"Damn" she said examining her hand

I looked at her confused and saw she had a small cut that appeared to be a paper cut. I looked down at my bracelets to see a white slither of paper sticking out. I pulled it out and unfolded it

"What the hell" I muttered

The note was the Jacob kids number. How he managed to write that and slip it into my bracelets the world may never know
