Vampire Hunters Chapter 9

The winter ball continued for awhile longer. Mika and Yu danced for a bit enjoying each other's company. Mika stopped the dance suddenly between the two. Yu looked up at Mika a little confused."Mika.. What's wrong?" Mika smiled as he looked down at Yu."I have a present I want to give to you." Yu blushed lightly."O-Okay." Mika smiled more as he took the small white box out of his pants pocket and held it out to Yu."Here." Yu smiled and took the box out of Mika's hand. He opened it carefully and blushed at what was inside. It was a necklace, two necklaces. They were lockets. Yu took both of the lockets out that were shaped like hearts. One locket had a green diamond and the other had a blue diamond.

"This way when we are far apart we have a piece of each other to keep us company and as a symbol of our love." Yu felt so happy and warm inside."Thank you so much Mika. These are beautiful." Mika opened the blue one."The blue one is yours. Since it is your favorite color." Yu smiled seeing a picture of Mika inside the locket."Its beautiful Mika. I love it so much. I'll treasure this forever." Mika stroked Yu's raven hair gently and then put the locket with the blue diamond around his neck. Mika put the locket with the green diamond around his own neck with a picture of Yu inside of it.

Yu rested his head against Mika's chest and nuzzled close to him. Mika wraps his arms around Yu as the dance nears its end.

As the night went on, There were vampire Hunters surrounding the school ground of the academy.
"Alright team. We'll eliminate these monsters quickly without fail." A silver haired man spoke with light blue eyes."yes sir." They all responded in unison. The small group of five was prepared to follow their orders. The silver haired man smiled softly and nodded as he had his rifle ready."That's good to hear, now Goshi start the illusion spell." He ordered."Already on it sir." Goshi responded back as he put the smoking pipe with a dragon design on it to his lips and puffed out the smoke causing illusions for only the vampires to see.

The silver haired man smiled confidently."Now everyone move out, I'll be your eyes from here." They all nodded and went in different directions to take out any vampire they saw in the academy. The silver haired man aimed his rifle at a blonde haired vampire who appeared to be with a human boy at the balcony."Hmm..I better kill it before it drinks that boys blood." He aimed and started to pull the trigger.

The illusion spell hadn't reached Mika up at the balcony yet. He sensed The rifle mans bloodlust and quickly picked up Yu."Yu-chan we have to get out of here and warn the headmaster..I sense a few dangerous humans in the academy." Yu's eyes slightly widen."I need to grab my katana!.." Yu flinched a little and held onto Mika as he cursed underneath his breath. A bullet was fired from a far. Luckily Mika dodged it in time and went inside the ball room towards the headmaster. Mika's instincts to protect Yu had increased. He wasn't going to let these vampire hunters ruin what happiness they had.
