We Are Young

Chapter 1

-Kristen's Pov-

"Ok girls. This is the day you show off all of your dance moves. The judges are quite,let's just say,uptight about the dancers. So give them your all!!"

Today was the day my dance class and I dance in front of judges so we can get somewhere in life. We're all here and we plan to do very good.

The top five will be dancing for a famous band. But we don't know what band. It's a little nerve wracking,but that won't stop us.

"Kristen Jayne. Your up." I walked out onto stage. The song,Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson started playing and I immediately started dancing along.

When the chorus came,I finally gave it my all. I danced like there was no tomorrow.

I really didn't care if I didn't get to dance for some famous band. It's just that I like dancing and if they don't like me,then there's plenty of other things I can do.

"Lovely performance Ms.Jayne. Well done. We'll contact you and tell you what place your in later tonight." One of the judges said. I nodded my head then ran off stage.

"Great job Kris!!" My best friend,Marie,said pulling me in for a hug.

"Thanks Mar! You did really good yourself!"

"Thank you. Now let's get going." We both said goodbye to the other girls and we headed home.

"So Kristen. What would you do if you got the part?" Marie asked as we were walking through the door to our apartment.

It was really big for an apartment. It had 4 rooms,5 bathrooms,a lounge room,and a big kitchen. Overall,it was big enough for ourselves and when we had guests over.

"I don't really know. I would be really excited but sad if you don't get the part."

"Don't worry,Kris. I know both of us are going to be one of the top five. I just know it!" She plopped herself on the sofa and turned the T.V on.

"While you sit around and be lazy,I'm going to go take a quick shower." I walked into my room and sat my dance bag on my bed. I went to my dresser and pulled out denim shorts,and white full sleeved,off the shoulder crop top and a white undershirt to match.

I walked into my bathroom then started the water. I stripped my clothes and got in.

I washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner,washed my body then rinsed. I dried myself and got dressed.

"Hey Marie. I just forgot that-" I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Hello,Ms.Jayne. I am one of the judges from earlier today you preformed for and I'm happy to inform you that Marie Sipher and you are in the top five. Congraulations."
