Ch 28 The Truth

The night was cold and windy.
The moon shining so brightly and stars sparkling yet Cole play basketball alone at the park. As he continue he sense someone was watching from behind. He quickly turn around and observe the surrounding and the feeling of being watching was gone.

Instinctively he faced front feeling a bit disturbing so he walk away until seeing Alyssa sitting at the bench while viewing the city lights. He went where she was and Alyssa almost gasped because she saw a shadow behind her. She was surprised to see it was Cole.

"What are you doing here?" Cole asked.

"I was having some alone time" Alyssa answer.

"You?"

"Basketball" Cole replied.

Midnight clock strike and the wind began blowing around the park. To Alyssa and Cole it felt serene. Cole bought a can of drink from the vending machine and he also bought for Alyssa.

As they drink quitely Alyssa felt kinda happy for Cole nice act. It's been a while he has done something nice since he sometimes ignore or avoiding her.

In the situation Cole only glance at Alyssa for at least four times while Alyssa glance at him the longest. Suddenly Cole felt someone was watching from a far and he quickly stand up and turn around. Without thinking, Alyssa who was still sitting on the bench while holding a can of drink, felt her heart beating and she had that feeling of wanting to touch Cole hand.

Then she quickly jerk as Cole turns around and noticed Alyssa was blushing.

Cole sent Alyssa home with his motorcycle, meanwhile Eliza was upstairs in the bedroom and she noticed Alyssa just came home with someone. She found out it was Cole. Eliza smiled a bit.

Alyssa gives back Cole's helmet and then she gave a long caring gazed towards Cole. Why you must be like this?. Alyssa touch Cole shoulder and the boy look at her a bit surprised.

"Cole please don't do anything reckless ok?" Alyssa said then walk away to go inside but Cole stop her by grabbing her hand.

It looks like Cole was about to say something but it was dead silence holding her hand and she still looks in front and didn't look at him. Finally he let's go of her hand.

As soon Alyssa was going to turn around she felt like she saw Cole was smiling underneath the helmet as he drove off. Alyssa then proceed inside and saw her mom by the staircase.

"Hi mom I'm home" Alyssa stated.

"Welcome home" Eliza replied back smiling.

"Did Cole send you home?" Eliza asked.

"Yeah, he just drove off" Alyssa answer.

"You two have always get along well" Eliza replied remembering the memories.

"I guess.." Alyssa responded sadly which Eliza quickly notice.

She went down and touch Alyssa shoulder confused why her daughter
had a hurtful expression.

"What's the matter sweetie?" Eliza asked.

"Mom does it mean that I like that person if I kept on being by his side?.
But to me it not about that. I'm just worry about him because his my best friend." Alyssa tries to explained.

"There's nothing wrong with liking or helping as along you are se about it" Eliza responded nicely.

"Thank you mom" Alyssa replied.

Then Alyssa went upstairs while Eliza watches her happily.

"But it's not wrong if you do it both" Eliza whispered.
