As the two said their goodbye Irene...went straight to their house...and cried herself to sleep.
But seulgi...something happened to her that night.
As Seulgi walks away the park she encountered 5 men in suits. Some have bats. Some just have brass knuckles. Scary but seulgi feels numb to feel anything other than hurt. They slowly approach her and then 2 of them punch her on the face making her fall to the ground. Then the others used the bats.
"So...she left...tsk..told you...she's not worth it.she's just trash like you.Boys beat her 'til she can't walk." Seulgi's father then appeared out of nowhere..
Seulgi is speechless so she just let them beat her because she doesn't feel pain all she can feel is the pain in her chest.
' I'm not worried of my wounds because it can be treated I'm worried of my wounded heart because the only treatment is her. My angel and her love is my treatment. '
As her dad said, they beat her 'til she can't walk and they just left her there. After they left her , she used all the remaining strength she had to stand up and walk towards nowhere.
Blood dripping from her mouth, blackish marks beside her eyes,broken bones,ripped clothes, and a wounded heart.
"I..ah...can't..Irene.." the last words she said before she passed out in the middle of nowhere.
The cold wind made it even worse as her body shivered, lips turning a little blue,and skin getting paler by the second.She pity herself not because she was beaten, but because she was left with nothing.
Luckily,A close friend of hers happened to be strolling around the place looking for streetfoods.
"Huh?...wait...seulgi?SEULGI!" Wendy, her friend ran towards her. Seulgi was thankful but her energy wasn't enough to show her gratitude towards her and she just passed out.
Wendy was struggling to carry seulgi but she was determined to help her and saw a cab driving and called it.
Inside the cab wendy said to seulgi,
"Yah..get better buddy."
They arrive at Seulgi's condo. It isn't really used that much because she lived with Irene. But now maybe it will be used cause she's now alone.
"Seulgi...eyy...yah...Seulgi.." Wendy started tapping Seulgi's face.
"Ahh!" Seulgi hollered."Oh!Sorry!Sorry!" Wendy was surprised."I just want to wake you up so you could eat buddy." By hearing the word 'buddy' Seulgi know who this person is.
"Yah...Wendy..." Seulgi said lifelessly because her body ache so damn much. Wendy held her shoulders and slowly she managed to put her in a sitting position.
"Good. You Remember. So now sit back and relax 'cause I'll feed you dumb bear." Wendy said as she scooped a spoonful of rice and shoved it in the mouth of Seulgi. After the rice is the scrambled egg she cooked.
"Sorry buddy. Egg is the only food in your fridge so you have no choice but to munch and swallow it." After saying those , another spoonful is shoved in Seulgi's mouth until the whole plate is done.
"Ah..Thank you..good thing you saw me there buddy." Seulgi said as she drank the water given by Wendy.
"No Problemo! What are friends are for? But hey! Treat me anything when you get better as payment!" Wendy shouted infront of Seulgi's face.
"Right... What are friends for?...
they're for PAYMENT. Fine as my thank you gift." The two of then laughed at each other.
"Hey..Seul..what happened to you? why are you all bruised and well...I think your badly injured." Wendy said and a hint of confusion and concern in her voice.
"Wendy,remember 'Him'? It's all because of that damn person." Seulgi said...well with a mix of anger and sadness in her now rough voice.
"Goodness! He's hurting you again?! From the States Then?! Now?! Here?! Here in Korea! You Are Still Beaten Up!" But Wendy suddenly slapped herself for her choice of the word "Beaten"
"Nope...Wendy..It's allright buddy I'm used to it. But well now,he didn't hurt for nothing..but because..." Seulgi told her the whole story starting from the Call from Ahn Hani down to the Irene not accepting her again scene.
"Wow,tough moments in life." Wendy said still concerned for her bestfriend also a little bit word-conscious.
"Yeah. I know.But,know what? maybe this tough times can give me my needed strength in Winning my Angel's heart again." Seulgi said a little teary-eyed.
"You know what? You should rest and let's continue this goddamn dramatic talk some other time." Wendy said in a perfect fluent english with an accent anyone would die for.
"Well.That's fine with me then.You too should. Just take the guest room. It's not that messy don't worry. Good night then." Seulgi said in a way how Wendy said it and lay on her bed.
Wendy gave her a wave of goodnight and went out of the room leaving a bear thinking of an angel that could save her from her misery.
And after stressing herself she just shut her eyes and dreamt of an angel that is dressed in white turning her back on a giant umbrella with a design of black sad bears. Boy, that's a nightmare,one scary nightmare.
And Wendy, well she's left thinking on how to help her friend.
