Sixteenn.

Hey lovely people. Thanks for the feedback/reads/votes. Also sorry for the shortness of the last chapter. I thought it was longer than that guess not. Well here is chapter sixteen. Enjoy ! <3

Half awake, I would've thought I was in my own my bed. That is until I saw Aiden walk by in nothing but his boxers.

Not that I minded much, IF WE WERE DATING! 

I sat up quickly. The movement giving me a quick dizzy spell.

"What the hell?" I snapped.

"Aubrie, you're--" 

"Where the hell am I?" I asked interrupting him.

"Well, you're--"

"Never mind just tell me how to get home." I snapped.

"Damn it, Aubrie let me speak would you?" Aiden snapped.

I held my mouth open in an o shape for a minute or two before I finally closed it and let him speak.

"I can get you out of here, you just have to trust me." he said calmly.

I looked at him like he had grown three heads, and laughed so hard that I had tears streaming down my face.

"You nearly killed me, lied to me, and then practically killed me. And you want me to trust you?" I finally got out. 

"I never would've killed you, Aubrie. I never meant to lie to you, and none of this would've happened if I could have had a say in it." he said.

"You're an alpha! You always have a say in EVERYTHING!" I snapped.

"Not this time. Look Aubrie, I never lied to you about how I felt about you. Yes, at first I followed the rule, Seduce and Destroy, but then I talked to you, and I started getting feelings for you. I should've stopped it then, but I didn't. I couldn't. Deuclanion used that against me, I tried to hide it from them, but it never worked. Aubrie, everything I told you, about how I felt was true. I was venerable. Liking you as much as I did. I would've never been able to kill you. That's why they took you. They're using you as bait. Bait for Derek, and the rest of the pack. I can get you out, trust me." he said.

Something about the look in his eyes, and the sound in his voice, told me he wasn't lying. This was the truth, but right now for some reason I rejected the truth. Maybe it was the mention of Derek. Or maybe I just didn't want the truth at this moment.

"I don't give a damn, Aiden, about your fucking sob story. I just want you to take me home."I snapped.

The look of pain and sadness that filled his eyes, made me regret what I said. 

"Aiden, I--" 

"No! You know for once, Aubrie I thought you'd be the one to understand. I guess I was wrong." he said, the mask back up. The one I hated, the one that made him look cold, and untouchable. The one that made him look heartless. 

You put that mask there, this time. You couldn't accept the truth, the one you've been waiting for. The one you've asked for. No, you had to be a bitch. YOU put that mask there. 

I shook myself from my thoughts, just as I heard a loud rawr. One that sounded familiar.

Derek. 

Although I was excited that he was alive, I was horrified, and scared. 

'"They're using you . . . Bait for Derek." Aiden's words cursed through my mind. 

'No." I said my voice just above a whisper. 

Hearing the racket from downstairs, I repeated myself, but only louder "NO." 

Before Aiden could stop me I ran to the door and ran down the steps to help Derek. I wouldn't let them kill him. He wouldn't die for me. 

Once at the end of the steps I stopped. Frozen at the sight ahead of me. 

Tables and chairs were tipped over and broken, Furniture was on its side, the insides spilling out.

Derek roared again, and snarled, "Where is she?" 

I looked over into the kitchen and saw Isaac and Scott fighting Ethan, and I noticed that Aiden had started to help his brother. Boyd was with Derek, snarling too.

"Derek, I'm right here." I said.

He looked up at me, but then put his attention back to Kali. 

Then Cora appeared, and jumped one Kali. Distracted Derek ran towards me and grabbed me. 

He dragged me out the house and placed me in his amazing car.

"Stay here." he demanded.

"No, Derek it's a setup, a trap. They used me as bait. They wanted you to come." I said, pleading with him to call everybody off. 

I guess he bought it, because after he ran in, he returned shortly after with everybody else. They all jumped in their cars, and we raced off. 

Kali, Ethan, and Aiden ran out after us, and rawr-ed angrily at the cars, as we quickly faded from their view. 

I sighed and looked over the guy behind the wheel. He was something else. For some reason, he was more than willing to risk his life for the ones he cared about. I had learned that about him. I loved him for it. He was like the older, I never had. No matter what it was, or how dangerous it might be, he'd do anything to help his pack members.

Yeah Stiles had started saying with all the wolf drama going on in our lives, it was like we were in the pack with them, and it stuck.

None of us were the same as we were at the beginning. Even only a couple of months of this was changing us. Peter was different in a way too. I didn't know how, but something was. Allison she was more outlandish, and daring. Lydia, she was more confident with the group now. Isaac, he was madly in love with Gemma. Gemma, she felt the same about Isaac, but no matter what she'd never admit it. Not now, 

This drama was changing us all. For the good and the bad. Derek was more distant now, although he held a glow to him tonight that I'd never seen on him before.

But there was a story behind the life that Derek led now and I was determined to find out.

Only I wish I knew of a way, I could've stopped what was about to come.

Maybe then things would've never changed.... 

Maybe then those secrets would've came out different...

Maybe then those tears shed would've been saved...

All of this came from one stupid hard headed decision..

My decision.
