She smiles at the mirror
She changed her hair
her face
her style
her selfMaybe now she will be
P E R F E C T
She feels good.
She's going
up
again.
She goes to school.
Where the kids don't
Cast her a glance.
Then when she looks at her
reflection again.
Nothing is right.
Tears prick at her eyes
self hate bubbles in her chest
and shame heats up in her stomach.
She's going
down
again.
