Andy's POV
I thrash around screaming and crying a nurse runs in
"Andy calm down" she rushes to me and hugs me I sob she rocks me softly
"Shh you're fine"
"I-I d-didn't do-do I-it!!"
She nods
"I know I know shhh" we sit there for a bit until I fall asleep again.
I wake up the next morning to the warden staring at me
"You ok Ands?" I jump on him and cry you see I've been in this place for six years because the cops think I pushed my dad off a bridge so six years is a long time so this place is now my home and the nurses and doctors are my family but the warden is like my guardian angel. "
Shh buddy lets get you some food" he carries me to the cafeteria he sits me down as I sniffle he hands me a cookie I smile and take it.
"You need a haircut" I look up at him and nod he walks away then walks back with his haircutting things I eat my cookie he walks over then wets my hair and cuts it short I hum and play on his phone my legs swing back and fourth.
He finishes and walks away I get up still having his phone I place it on the reception deck
"This is dads" Nancy smiles
"Ok love"
I scurried away and go back to my room and sit on my bed and hug my teddy I turn on the tv and watch batman.
I watch two episodes then hear screaming I run out teddy in my hands I see a boy thrashing around as nurses try to put him in a room.
The warden picks me up and puts me on his hip I buried my face into his neck
"What h-happened?"
"He's new his name is Joe he a year older then you" I nod he puts me back in my room then sets me down on the floor and grabs my toy blocks and cars I smile and hugs his leg
"Thanks dad!" He smiles
"Your welcome love" he walks out I look at the clock an hour before bedtime I giggle softly then play by myself.
An hour later warden walks in and cleans up my toys then brings me into the bathroom and washes my face and brushes my teeth he takes me back to bed and tucks me in
"Night bud"
"Night"
I curl up and go to sleep.
I wake up a one o'clock in the morning to screaming I get up holding my teddy I grab my other one and follow the screaming.
I walk into the boys room the boy I saw earlier...Joe I think I reach up and turn the door nob and walk in he cries in his bed curled in a ball I walk up to him.
"Hey it's ok." I smile he looks at me and cries more I climb onto his bed but fall on my bum making him giggle softly I smile then climb on his bed again I sit beside him and hand him my teddy.
"Who a-are you?" He asks softly
"I'm Andy I'm eleven...but dad says I have a brain of a five year old" I giggle he sits up and looks at me
"I'm Joe I'm twelve" I hug him "it's ok Joey not cry Andy's here now" he smiles and hugs back
"Thanks" I get off his bed and tuck him in like warden tucks me in
"Good night" I walk out and go to my room I climb into my bed and go to sleep.
I wake up to warden carrying me somewhere
"Where am I going"
"To get your flu shot" I scream
"N-no!" I squirm out of his arms and run back to my room screaming I slam my door shut and hide under my bed someone walks in and crawls under my bed and hugs me.
I pull away and run eyes
"J-Joe?" He smiles then drags me out and stands me up.
"C'mon I'll go with you" I nod and hold his hand he takes me to the nurses office and I sit in the chair.
She give me my needle
"Hey that didn't hurt!" I smile and look at Joe who was gone I frown deeply warden sighs and picks me up I lay my head on his shoulder and cry.
He leans down and picks up my teddy I gave him he takes me to my room I see Joe playing with a girl I cry more warden lays me down and kisses my head
"Shh" he walks out as I cry Joe walks in with the girl
"Andy this is Sara" I look at her and hiss at her she backs away
"GET OUT!!" They run out I slam the door shut and cry.
11 years later
Joes POV
I sigh as I walk into my new job sandy shore mental hospital where I met Andy I shiver at the memory then walk in.
The girl at the desk gives me my patiences I read through them.
Ben Kowalawicz, Austin Carlile, Pete Wentz, and.....Andy Hurley room 108 oh god my Andy that I hurt I run too his room and see it empty other than his stuff.
I hear the same giggle and squeals I look down the hallway to see the warden spinning him around
"Dad noooo!!" He giggles I smile softly then walk over to them the warden looks up
"Joe?" I nod
"Holy shit hi" Andy hits him
"Bad word!"
"Sorry bud"
"You look great bud" he shakes my hand I shrug
"Yeah so do you" he smile
"I don't age" he winks
Andy looks at me still short but he grew he still has the gap between his teeth.
"Joe?" I nod he punches me in the gut then runs away crying he slams his door I groan.
Warden sighs "you ok?"
I nod "yea"
"Go talk to him he still has a Brain of a five year old though" I nod then walk to his room he's under his bed crying I sigh and crawl under with him I hug him he hugs back and cries hard into my chest.
"I missed you!" I nod
"I know" he looks at me and sniffles I wipe his tears away he smiles and kisses me I smile and kiss back softly he pulls away and snuggles into my chest I hold him
"I'm so sorry baby" I mumble into his hair
"It's ok" he crawls onto his bed I follow ho and lay beside him he hands me the teddy he gave me I smile and look at him he giggles.
"I have to go work now" he frowns and shakes his head
"No no you'll leave me again!!"
"No I won't..come with me" he wipes his tears that were forming and nods I get up and grabs his hand and walk out with him trailing behind we walk down the hall to do my job he giggles softly.
I finally have my Andybear back.
