The wolves had snow white hair and yellow eyes. They were guiding me some where. Where? I noticed they started heading towards a large tree with fourteen holes in the side.  But there are only five...

I thought this was extremely weird. They had to be the only ones in the in their pack right? I didn't really care so long as I wasn't their next meal. One of them growled at the tree. I raised an eyebrow. Isn't this there home? Oh well, who am I to say what they do? What happened next was beyond weird.

Four other wolves started popping out of each hole. They glared at me. Uh-oh! My heart was racing, I could feel blood lust all around me. Then suddenly fade away. Then i realized why they lead me here, I had white hair! Phew. What was once fear turned back into relief. The one that growled at the tree must have been the alpha.

The alpha actually looked back at me and nodded. Acceptance maybe?  Or a gesture to get lost? He showed me in and I was shocked at what was inside. There was a vast food supply, moss beds and little huts for each family.

But there was one thing about each wolf that was the same. The white hair. They must've thought I was a wolf and I was lost. Four of the wolves of my group broke off to separate dens and laid down in the moss padding.

I was still in awe what these talius wolves were doing. Some dens seemed to be broken down and being repaired or under construction. I breathed in the wonderful smell of brisk air mountain air. There was even a ramp leading to each separate den, which were held together by poorly rapped twine and vines.

I was actually starting to feel bad for these wolves. Having to constantly repair their homes and abandoning old ones. I almost pitted them. Five wolves were working on the leaders hut, taking their time and making the moss soft and comfortable.

When I looked inside his den it seemed wet, damaged and half destroyed far beyond repair. The leaders den seemed to be twice as large as the other dens. And it looked like there was an extra bed. He patted on one of the beds softly with his paw and motioned me on to it.

" Oh no... I can't." I respectfully turned down his offer. He let out a little growl and motioned a little more violently to lay down and sleep. I didn't want to be a meal so I may as well sleep over. So i walked over to the bed curled up and dozed off.

When I woke the leader was in his bed, he appeared to be waking up and stretching. To me this was strange. Because usually I wake up to a pile of dirt or my room, but a wolf. That was a new one. All the other wolves were asleep as well.

The first thing I decided to do was to go outside and pee. Went I got back in the wolves were all chowing down. One of them passed me a dead bird. Well what can you do? Gotta eat something? I thought. Although the bird tasted amazing!

It was like nature had just gave me the most gourmet dish in the entire world. " Delicious!" I shouted. One wolf looked at me then went back to his meal. The leader sat next to me and ate. Then like some sort of message, a voice said to me, your training starts today. It seemed really weird. Then I realized the leader was looking at me and his mouth was open!

I was in shock. " You can talk!?" I yelped. " Yes we all can, we just haven't found anyone we can trust." he replied. I couldn't handle that. "So why didn't you talk to me before?" I asked. "We couldn't trust you quite yet." he answered.

I had way to many questions so I decided to only ask one: "Why'd you save me though?" He stared at me like the answer was obvious. "Because, I see potential in you." He stated. The rest of the day was exhausting. Turns out that training was far harder than the training I was put through at my village.

First was 200 push ups, next a 5 mile run and finally a race. He said until he I could beat him in a race he would keep training me. And so that training continued for 7 years. One fateful day I said I wanted to race him again. " Alright, but don't blame me if you lose because i'm going to go my fastest." He said mockingly.

He was no longer the leader. He was now an elder. But he was still as fast as ever. I was still determined regardless of odds stacked against me. This time around, I wasn't going to lose. We got into position and took off. We were close together at first but I started pulling ahead.

He got wide eyed. He started turning into a blur and I was losing ground. I looked back at him and smiled playfully. I started turning into a blur faster and all of the sudden he couldn't see me. When i got to the finish line before him I was so out of breathe I could barely breathe.

He got there a few moments after me and said "Your training is complete."
