Chapter 1: Is There More?

Mika's POV:
I wanted to see Yuu... The last of my family which was brutally killed off by what I barely consider my own kind. Whether it's because I want to bring him back with me or just to be in his presence for a second... Even if he decides to protest against my ideals, Yuu will keep me going forever. The thought of him... Made my pulse beat faster. Yuu is my everything and I won't let anyone take him away from me. It's time to take action.

I have returned home, I had actually expected for this to be my outcome, in advance, I had saved the small capsules of Krul's sweet blood from when I had last encountered Yuu. That occurance made me the happiest I had been since we almost escaped the hell I now live every day. I'll have to sneak my way out if I'm planning to arrive to Yuu's location. Don't worry I'm coming.

Yuu's POV:
The blinding light from the edges of my blurry vision awoke me. As I slowly blinked open my eyes, several silhouettes came into view. Shinoa.... Yoichi....Mitsu... And that idiot Kimizuki! Humph! I'm surprised he would be here. Several days I had apparently awoken from a coma... I don't know how or why but I must have been injured in the previous battle... Where I had discovered Mika was alive... Oh Mika! I'm so glad that wasn't a dream... Mika is alive and well... Sorta. I need to rescue him from those damned vampires. I will save him.
"Hey! Hey! Yuu, are you even listening?" Growled Shinoa, her usually calm tone taking on a different approach. Her hair appeared messier than usual, her eyes glittered with exhaust from the past days of her staying up to watch over Yuu.
"Uhh.. Ahh yeah, sorry. I'm a bit dazed, that's all." He replied, rubbing his eyes in an attempt to forward his excuse.
"I'm glad you're alright, you have been sleeping a lot... I mean it's good you're resting, but don't you dare scare us like that again. I thought you were dead!" Yoichi whined, averting his gaze and his face turned slightly red.
"Eh, don't worry about me. I'm fine if Mika is." Replied Yuu. He flopped back onto his bed which uttered a loud squeaking noise as he did, resting his head on the palms of his hands as he stared upward.
"Yeah.. About Mika..." Shinoa began gently, "Guren was pretty outraged by the whole ordeal... But he is the only surviving member of your family. I swear, that man has no sympathy sometimes. Then again, neither do I..." She finished simply.
"Oh suuuure, I know how you feel about that dumbass Yuu! Wasn't it you who devoted her time to spend day and night by his side? Or am I thinking incorrectly..?" Hissed Shiho with a devilish grin. Both Shinoa and Yuu blushed simultaneously, avoiding eachothers gazes.
Mitsu remained quiet for most of the conversation and said a quick couple of words before leaving. Shiho was the next to depart, briefly saying goodbye as he exited, Shinoa was the last to leave. She seemed awkwardly quiet, she still refused to meet his eyes, Yuu didn't take this to notice, however and dismissed her bluntly as she shuffled her way out of the room. Her slow and heavy steps begging for Yuu to call her back to his side, but he had other things to think about, Mika.

Mika's POV:
The sun began to set behind the orangey tinted clouds as Mika arrived. He let out a breath of relief as he felt the fresh air wash over him. As he took a step forward, he felt the presence of a person towering over him. He whipped to face the intruder and saw a tall man, shadowing over Mika.
Hmm... He must know I'm a vampire... He wants vengeance probably. Oh well, the likes of him aren't stopping me from reaching Yuu.
"You lost, kid?" The man sneered, the gruffness to his tone adding to his composure. Mika glared undaunted upon him, clicking his tongue.
"My whereabouts aren't of your importance," Mika growled, drawing his sword at the sight of the man pulling out his weapon. The emblems and colors told Mika he was a member of the Moon Demon Company.
Shit, he really wants me dead!
The crazed man swung his dull, pathetic sword, which Mika easily dodged each blow. But as the fight continued and the energy of the human began to deteriorate, he took this to his advantage.
"Kid? Me? I'm here to take care of business!" Mika snarled, thrusting his sword in midair towards the man's chest. His pupils dilated with horror and he attempted to escape his bloodstained and unfortunate fate. Everything unfolded before Mika's icy blue gaze, slowly passing over his line of vision. In frantic terror, he proceeded to escape by pushing himself into the air, but to no avail, only moments later a low gurgling sound was to be heard.
"Ah.. Glk.. Ack..." He sputtered, blood leaking out from a wound running up his throat. The Crimson liquid gushed from the fleshy mess before Mika.
"Don't get in my way." Mika spat, sliding his sword out from the man's neck, which only hung on by several thin threads of muscle. He briskly flicked the remaining bloodstains from the sword shining in the orangey light cast down from the sky. Mika could hear the man groan helplessly every several seconds, but promptly ignored it. I have to find Yuu...

I can sense his sweet scent nearby.. And not his blood... The same way he always has. Even a small whif of it on the wind would catch my attention... Mika thought as nostalgic thoughts overwhelmed him. As he prowled the premises, he took in another sniff of the crisp air, catching that familiar scent, telling Mika that Yuu was close.
It seems as if I can feel him... Yet why does he seem so far away!
Mika paused as he heard the sound of a creaking door, squatting behind a staircase.
It's her! One of Yuu's so called 'friends'. I know I've seen her, how could I miss her... That pastel purple hair pulled neatly back into two braids surrounding her head, and calm gaze, however her visage appeared uneasy... Her hair a mess. She doesn't know I'm here right?!... How could she...? I'm thinking to hard. Once she leaves I'll need to sneak my way to where she exited.
  Mika crept stealthily from behind the staircase until the girl's silhouette faded into the distance. The door was left slightly ajar, Mika entered at his convenience and hurried up a flight of stairs before realizing that soft voice in the distance, was most definently Yuu's.
