Hello, darlings! Sorry to keep you waiting but college is a pain. I have been so busy lately and barely have an opportunity to write. But I will continue because it can help improve my writing and I honestly want to finish this story. Sorry for any mistakes I did not proofread. Minor cursing towards the end. Lucas walked into class ready to crash from the lack of sleep. They had their first difficult night with Bella and he only slept approximately three hours. Bella became extremely fussy throughout the night and it took long periods to calm her down. It was a struggle as both attempted to soothe her and allow her to rest. They struggle through the night but managed to at least get a few hours of sleep in. Riley had three more weeks left with Bella before she would have to return to school and face the impending doom that is high school. Lucas lifted his head off his desk to come face to face with the one and only Maya Hunter. Although the petite blonde stood at 5'0, she was still rather intimidating. And she packed a good punch too as Lucas was unfortunate to discover.

Maya set her books on her desk and sat in her usual seat. "What's up Ranger Rick. How's parenthood treating you today?"

"Last night was horrible. We barely slept because Bella was extremely fussy." Lucas sighed as he explained to the blonde about the event that had occurred last night.

"Sounds like it was a tough night", Maya nodded. "It will get better, plus she's worth it."

"Definitely worth every hour lost", Lucas nodded his head. "You, Zay, and Farkle still coming over tonight?"

"Of course. What type of question is that" Maya rolled her eyes at his comment. "Why wouldn't we be over tonight?"

"Just making sure. I know you'll be there since a certain someone will be returning tonight from studying abroad", Lucas teased one of his best friends. Lucas had grown on Maya and their friendship evolved over the years. She now saw him as the annoying older brother she never had. They still teased each other occasionally but they now allowed deeper conversations to occur between them.

Maya gave Lucas an emotionless deadpan look. "Very funny Ranger Rick."

Before Lucas could respond, their teacher Mrs. Thomas walked in and began the class. Lucas attempted to pay attention to the best of his current capability.

School was almost over for Lucas. He only had math and physical education to attend and he could make his way home to his family. He quickly shut his locker door in an attempt to get to class before the late bell rang in three minutes. He did not want to risk the chance of after school detention just because he arrived late to school. As he made his way to class he bumped into a pink clad Missy Bradford.

"Lucas! How are you? I haven't seen you in ages", Missy squealed as Lucas held in the urge to roll his eyes.

Missy attempted to hug Lucas but he immediately stopped her and shook her hand instead. "I'm good but I have to get going Missy. Class starts soon and I don't want to be late."

A confused look formed on Missy's face as she looked on at Lucas as if he has suddenly grown a second head. "Who cares about being late! Now tell me, how's Betty."

"Her name is Bella and she's doing great. Bye Missy." Lucas did not even turn to give Missy a second glance and with a quick pace walked out of their as fast as he could. He could not stand to be anywhere near her at all. Normally he didn't like to see the bad in people but Missy was something else. She just gave off a bad vibe and she had never exactly been Riley's biggest supporter.

Lucas had stayed back on the field after a grueling game of football to talk to his coach about his new schedule concerning his child. He knew he still had the responsibility of playing on the field this baseball season but he wanted to make sure that Coach knew Bella was now a priority. He talked with Coach Hamilton for a couple of minutes on how Lucas could possibly be accommodated without having to drop out his senior year.

He made his way into the locker room which seemed empty until he heard two familiar voices, Billy and Charlie. Usually, Coach let everyone leave as soon as they got changed since it was a senior class and he seemed to trust them.

Charlie could be heard talking to Billy as Lucas got closer to them. Lucas made sure to stay out of the eyesight range so he could hear their conversation. He hadn't talked to Charlie much but he was on the baseball team. And although he and Billy were friends they didn't talk as much anymore. "Can you believe that Friar got Riley pregnant?"

"Seriously dude. But you can't completely blame Friar. Matthews must be a total slut. Hot but still a slut", Billy sneered.

Lucas could feel his blood begin to boil as he heard these two assholes talk about his girlfriend. He decided to try to calm down since he didn't want to be suspended due to these two idiots. Riley would get upset with him knowing what the incident was about and if he got in trouble.

"Riley should have just picked me in 8th grade and she wouldn't be stuck with Friar and their brat."

"Seriously. That child wil-"

When he heard Charlie call his daughter a brat that was the moment that Lucas completely lost it. He charged at the two distracted boys and pushed both Billy and Charlie against the lockers. "What the hell did you call my daughter? Don't you dare ever say anything about her."

Charlie attempted to escape from Lucas' grasp but was unsuccessful. "Woah, Friar chill! Billy help me!"

"And you Ross, you better hope I don't ever catch you again saying anything about my girlfriend."

"Or what Friar? What are you going to do?" Billy pressed Lucas with a small smirk forming on his face.

"You don't know me completely Ross and you sure as hell don't want to find out." Lucas let go of their shirts which he was holding onto. He decided it was time he went on his way to leave this hole and get back with his two sunshines. He went over to his locker, grabbed his backpack, and stuffed his clothes in it. He couldn't even stand being in here with them, screw getting changed. He left the two dumbfounded boys in fear as he walked out of the locker room.

"Hey Huckleberry you ready to go", Maya called out and made him lose his train of thought."I've been waiting so we can leave for the subway. Also what took you so long?"

Lucas let out a deep sigh as he turned and waited for Maya to catch up to him. "Billy and Charlie happened. They better be glad I didn't have too much at stake or else."

"What did they do?"

"They called Bella a brat and Riley a slut."

"What?!?! Cheese Souffle and Dumb as Rocks better hope I don't run into them!"

"They're not worth it Pancakes. Plus if they do anything else they'll deal with me."

"I have a surprise for you Ranger Rick. They'll deal with me too because no one and I means no one talks about my Little Plant and Sunflower like that."

"Got it Hunter."
