Chapter Two

I didn't know where I was. I was standing in grass, miles and miles of green grass. I kept turning my body to see if there was something else there, but there wasn't. There was nothing in the distance, all I could see was grass, and it never ends. There was no trees, or rocks, or mountains or hills. I was the only one there. I closed my eyes, then opened them. Nothing. The sky was a bright blue color and the sun was blinding. I closed my eyes once more, but this time, kept them closed for a few seconds longer. When I opened them, it changed. The setting was still the same, but I was no longer the only one there. I was standing in the middle of a large circle. I became scared of what was surrounding me. There were men with knives, and guns, and other weapons. There were all sorts of natural disasters like tornados, tsunamis, and earthquakes. There were deadly animals: tigers, lions, crocodiles, sharks and venomous snakes, all staring directly into my eyes. There were about fifty different deadly situations, all surrounding me in a huge circle. I turned around and around as fear swallowed me. I've never been so scared in my life. I closed my eyes again, praying that God would get me away from this place. I opened my eyes, and I was laying in my bed. I let out a sigh of relief. I went into the kitchen and fixed myself a glass of milk. Then I went back to bed and fell asleep right away.

I awoke the next morning and got ready for school. I never remember any of my dreams, but this one I remember perfectly. It felt as if I was really there. It felt like it really happened, but I figured it was nothing. I met up with Paul and Mackenzie later that day and told them every detail of my dream. I also told them how real it was, but they told me it couldn't be anything more than a nightmare.

I tried to go on with my day, but it was much harder than I thought. I couldn't concentrate in any of my classes, I rarely talked, and I kept picturing the things surrounding me. I couldn't get it out of my head. It stuck with me all day.

That afternoon once I got home, Mackenzie texted me asking me if I wanted to hang at her place for a while. I replied and told her I wasn't feeling well. I wasn't actually sick, but I didn't feel like doing anything. I put a frozen pizza in the oven and sat on the couch. The season finale of American Idol was on tonight so I flipped through the channels on the TV until I found the channel it was on. I continued to watch that until my pizza was ready, then I ate and went lay down in my bed. I was going to put the TV on since it was only eight o'clock, but I was really tired, so I decided to go to sleep.
