I was sitting in my small, quiet room all by myself. It was Tuesday night and everyone was gathered downstairs some type of game night.
I didn't have many friends here so I didn't want to go. But I did have, Madelyn, my best friend.
Madelyn had been with me through thick and thin. She's the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.
I was deep in thought when the old hag, Ms. Welker, came bursting through my door.
"Aria, why aren't you down there with the rest of the kids!" She yelled.
"I don't know. I just didn't want to go." I replied really quietly.
She stormed out of the room.
That lady has always hated me. Ever since I came here. I didn't do anything to her. She just has hated me since I walked through the doors.

About an hour later, the announcement came on telling us all to go to bed. I crawled into bed and whispered good night to Madelyn. She whispered back saying good night also.
Before I went to bed, I sat there and I thought about everything. I thought about my abusive parents, the group of girls that used to tease, bully, and verbally hurt me when I was younger, and all the cute boys I've ever liked. Soon enough, I drifted off to sleep.

The next day, I was awoken by Madelyn shaking me. She always gets overly exited on Wednesday morning because it was "Adoption Day".
She walked away and went to our very small closet. She walked out minutes later with her All Time Low t-shirt, some black skinny jeans, and some black converse.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go get dressed!" Madelyn said cheerfully.
"Fine!" I said mocking her cheery voice.
I walked in the closet and look around. I found my Pierce the Veil t-shirt and some black skinny jeans. I slipped on my hightop converse and walked out.
Madelyn turned around and gasped.
"What? Does it look bad?" I asked.
"No Aria, we're twinning!" She said kinda loud.
"Oh, I guess we are." I replied.
We walked out of the room side by side. By the time we got downstairs we were a laughing mess.
Madelyn almost fell down the stairs twice and I tripped and fell down a few steps laughing at her.
Madelyn and I walked to the main area and there was already lots of people.
We sat down on the couch just talking amongst ourselves when a man and a woman walked up.
"Hello!" Madelyn and I said in sync.
"Hi, what is y'all's names?" The woman asked.
"I'm Aria" I said and then the woman nodded her head.
"And I'm Madelyn" She said cheerfully.
"Well y'all are very pretty." The man said.
They walked away and looked around some more. I look over at Madelyn.
"Wow! What a major let down!" She said then laughed.
I laughed with her and we just continued our conversation.

After about 2 hours of just talking, Madelyn and I were approached by a boy with long curly hair.
"Hey" Madelyn said.
"Hi! What's your name?" He asked
"Madelyn!" She answered.
"Oh and what might be your name?" He asked looking over at me.
"I'm Aria." I said
"Oh cool." The boy said.
He walked away and came back a few minutes later with 3 other guys and Ms. Welker.
"We would like to adopted both of these girls." Said the boy that was with us earlier.
Me and Madelyn looked at each other with shock and open mouths.
"Aria and Madelyn?" Ms. Welker asked.
"Yes ma'am!" The boy that looked kind of asian said.
"Okay! Here the paperwork for both girls and just bring it to the front when your done." Ms. Welker said and handed the one with blonde hair and blue eyes two clipboards.
Ms. Welker walked away and soon was helping another couple.
"Okay girls! Go get your stuff! Y'all are going home with us." The one with red hair said.
